Skylanders can wear one Hat and one Trinket at the same time. Hats convey positive statistical effects while they’re worn. Trinkets are purely cosmetic. To change your Skylanders Hat and Trinket, select the Outfit option from the Skylanders overview screen. Villains can also get in on the fun by wearing Hats and Trinkets as well.
