The perfect blend of sword and sorcery, Krypt King wandered Skylands for years as the disembodied spirit of a knight—until he found his way into the depths of an ancient Arkeyan weapon vault. Upon finding an enormously powerful suit of armor, the spirit decided to make it his own. Unfortunately, this triggered a long dormant auto defense system. With alarms blaring, a massive sealed chamber was opened, revealing a huge army of war machines. Krypt King launched himself towards the attack force, swinging his newly found giant sword until every machine was utterly destroyed. Realizing the power he wielded could serve a broader purpose, Krypt King sought out the Skylanders and was made a member of the Trap Team, where he now uses his massive Traptanium blade to cut down evil!
Basic Attack Notes
Traptanium Broadsword
If done mid-jump, Krypt King drives his sword into the ground.
The Swarm
Krypt King stops moving while releasing homing insects.
Haunted Sword
Attack 1 swings. Attack 3 recalls the sword. Attack 2 has no effect.
Upgrade Paths
Lord of the Sword
This path is ideal for those that want to take matters into their own hands and fight up-close. It is still possible to take advantage of the Haunted Sword abilities, but this path is more geared towards getting in close to rack up quick enemy victories. Each enemy defeat boosts both armor and damage, turning this Skylander into a “tank.” Adding the Combo Attack upgrade provides even more ways to quickly cut down a single foe with the Saber Spin combo, or perform some crowd control using the Nether Blast Combo. Choose this path to play bold and brave, taking any enemy head on.
Swarm Summoner
The Swarm is an excellent form of passive attack that homes in on foes. This leaves Krypt King free to flee, gang up the same enemies, or challenge new foes. Adding the stun effect from Stunning Sting makes the Swarm a great tool for dealing with large groups of enemies. The increased damage from Stir Up The Swarm is a must if you rely on this ability as a main source of damage. The Swarm has excellent synergy with the Haunted Sword ability, especially after upgrading Spectral Slowdown. Release the Traptanium Broadsword and launch the swarm to wipe out most enemies from a safe distance before they can reach you.
Soul Gem Ability
Unlimited Traptanium Works: 4000
Landing a critical hit causes swords to rain down upon Krypt King’s enemies. Prerequisite: Find Krypt King’s Soul Gem in CH 7: Monster Marsh
This benefits the bold who attack relentlessly and trigger critical hits. Each time a critical is scored not only does the attack do more damage, but the falling swords also add insult to injury to finish weaker foes.
