Basic Attack Notes

Lava Lob

A fast attack but with relatively short range. It is great for hitting opponents above Weeruptor.

Eruption

This attack has to build up for a bit before it explodes, hitting enemies in a small radius.

Magma Ball

A powerful attack that moves slowly and can be tricky to aim.

Upgrade Paths

Magmantor

If you decide to pursue the Magmantor Path, the Lava Lob gets much better. Keep in mind the lava balls are quick but they have a high arching path with limited range. To help remedy that, Heavy Duty Plasma increases the range of the attack, making it more viable as a long-range tactic. Once you unlock Beast of Conflagration, the damage of the power is increased by about 60%! For even more damage, get Lava Blob Bomb to add splash damage to nearby enemies, affecting more foes at once.

Volcanor

Eruption is a tricky power to master. It requires you to charge the attack for a second or two, which leaves Weeruptor vulnerable. Once the magma has erupted, it can hit enemies within range multiple times. The most important upgrade for Eruption is Quick Eruption. Quick Eruption makes the power much more useful since Weeruptor barely needs to slow down to release a powerful eruption full of seeping magma, volcanoes, and magma balls. The other two powers on this path each increase damage. The boost in speed and damage on this path turn Eruption into an excellent weapon for crowd control.

Soul Gem Ability

Mega Magma Balls: 4000

Shoot up to three Magma Balls at a time that do extra damage.

Mega Magma Balls dramatically improves Weeruptor’s regular Magma Balls attack. The balls are about twice the size and do about 25% more damage. They’re still slow and hard to aim, but since the balls are bigger it’s easier to hit enemies.
