Knight Mare (TrapMaster)

"Nowhere to Hide!"

Character Stats

Maximum Health 350
Speed 85
Armor 36
Critical Hit 40
Elemental Power 35

Before the destruction of the Core of Light left her stranded in the Dark Realm, Knight Mare was one of the Dark Centaurs who guarded The Oracle of Stones–an enchanted game of Dark Skystones that could predict the future. When it was stolen by an unknown force, Knight Mare was called upon to retrieve it. She knew it would be dangerous because if the Oracle was asked the wrong questions seven times, it would unleash a terrible curse upon all of Skylands. Fortunately, she found it in a cave–with a gang of Bicyclopes about to ask their seventh wrong question. With no time to lose, she charged forward, beating the fierce Bicyclopes and saving Skylands from the terrible curse. Now having joined the Trap Team, Knight Mare uses her hunting skills and Traptanium Flamberge to bring down evil everywhere!

Basic Attack Notes

Traptanium Flamberge

Pressing Attack 1 while jumping is an overhead swing. It will not work with combos. You're better off waiting until Knight Mare lands to start attacking.

Shadow Joust

Slow start-up to the attack. You can't change the direction of the charge without the Charged up Charge upgrade. Even then, you can only nudge it left or right.

Battle Horn

Battle Horn begins as a cone attack that stuns enemies directly ahead of Knight Mare. With all its upgrades, Battle Horn becomes the center of Knight Mare's offense.

Upgrade Paths

Shadow Summoner

If you choose the Shadow Summoner Path, employ Battle Horn often. Each time you hit an enemy with Battle Horn, you generate Shadowy Clones that explode to damage enemies and heal Knight Mare. When you want to get more involved, you can destroy the Shadowy Clones and boost Knight Mare's other attacks. The Shadow Summoner Path turns Knight Mare into a great choice for Arenas and Kaos Doom Challenges.

Flamberge Aficionado

If you enjoy swinging a big sword, this is the path for you. The Flamberge Aficionado Path adds two new combos for Knight Mare. Flamberge Fragment ends with blast of a battle horn. It does knock back enemies, but it won't initiate The Shadow Realm ability. Shadow Stab ends with Knight Mare driving her sword into the ground for a high damage attack that hits all nearby enemies.

Soul Gem Ability

The Shadow Realm: 4000

Find Knight Mare's Soul Gem in Midnight Museum. Purchase Battle Horn

Battle Horn creates a Shadow Realm, where Shadowy Clones are stronger and enemies can't see.

After you purchase The Shadow Realm, try to keep it active at all times. Enemies within the realm are much easier targets and Shadowy Clones are much more powerful. The Shadow Realm lasts for about three seconds before it dissipates and must be resummoned.
