Chapter 6: Rainfish Riviera

Quest Preparation

Keep the recently captured Pepper Jack in a Fire trap. Have a Tech trap ready for Brawlrus, then keep him handy for his quest later in Rainfish Riviera. You must return with Eye Five after capturing him in Monster Marsh.

Monsoon Point & Waste Water Cove

Walk down to Mags and talk with her to learn more about what happened. Before destroying the wooden fence, look for a gap in the stones directly behind Mags. Lob-Star’sSoul Gem (The Boiler) is the prime attraction in Waste Water Cove, but there are other valuables in the sand. When you’re done exploring, use the Bounce Pad to get back up and destroy the wooden gate.

Blowhole Beach

The Chompies are dressed like Pirates, but they’re not much different than the other Chompies you’ve faced up to this point. Shortly after the fight begins, Brawlrus and his pirate henchmen join in. After you defeat Brawlrus, Mags points out spare wood that could be used to build a bridge.

Steel Fin Balcony

The gate has two locks on it. Reuse your bridge to reach the first key. To get the second key, talk to Bucko in the nearby shack.

Fish Bone’s Card Shack & Brackwater Falls

The shack near the locked gate is Fish Bone’s Card Shack. Bucko is inside and offers his key, but only if you beat him at Skystones Smash. After winning a game, get the key and the Story Scroll. Head outside, but be ready for a fight.

Follow the line of coins at the end of the steel plate down to Brackwater Falls where Doublooney has a quest for Eye Five. Complete the quest and go to the other side of the bridge for an Undead Gate. Use the Bounce Pad to return to Steel Fin Balcony when you're done.

Fish Eyed Walk

Go through the unlocked gate and follow Fish Eyed Walk to Mags, who explains the way ahead is blocked by raised posts. Go up to the door to find the controls to lower them.

Fish Eyed Control

The controls are behind a Battle Gate guarded by waves of pirate henchmen and Bomb Shells. The Bomb Shells like to hide on the walkway, so you may need to go up there to eliminate them.

Step on the button behind the Battle Gate to drop the posts outside. Mess with the Troll Radio, then head out to catch up with Mags.

The next bridge has been retracted and the only way to restore it is to move Mags with a crane. Interact with the controls to clear out the Brawl and Chain guards. When they’re gone, carry Mags over and drop her in the indicated spot.

Clam Tower

Cross the bridge to meet up with Mags again. Extend the bridge over to the yacht. Drop off the side of the platform and collect the floating coins. The doorway here leads to the Submarine Pen. Before going through it, use the Bounce Pad to grab the Bomb from atop the tower. When you finish with the Submarine Pen, use the Bounce Pad to reach the top of the tower again and use the Bomb to blow up the wooden gate blocking the path to the yacht.

Submarine Pen

Blow up the gate and open the Treasure Chest. Take a minute to mess with the Troll Radio afterward. Cross the wooden walkway. Bucko wants a Skystones Smash rematch. Brawlrus’ quest is nearby, but you must fight through a small group of pirates backed by a Bomb Shell to reach it.

Starfish’s Sub

The Submarine hatch opens after Brawlrus completes his quest. Look for the Steampunk Hat inside.

Dredger’s Yacht

Mags points out another crane control station. There are five Brawl and Chain guards roaming the yacht and they must be eliminated before the raised posts will fall. These guards are more alert than the earlier guards, but you have two ways of dealing with them. You can pick them up and drop them over the side, or you can pick up the stacks of pipes and drop them on their heads. Either way, destroy the four stacks of pipes before taking out the final Brawl and Chain to earn the Pipe Down achievement.

Go down to the lower deck. A trio of Bomb Shells appears, ready for a fight. They’re just a warm-up act; the real fight begins when they are eliminated.

When the Battle Gate drops, walk around to the wooden crate. Push it aside to reveal a Bounce Pad. Bounce to the Traptanium crystal and destroy it to reveal a passage that leads to Below Deck.

Below Deck

A Battle Gate pops up and a group of Chompies, Bomb Shells, and Brawlruses attack. After you dispatch them, open the Villain Stash and return to the upper deck.

Dire Sands

Walk down the yacht’s gangway and break down the wooden fence. Mags appears again and tells you what must be done next. Hop down to the sand. An Earth Gate is next to a group of large snails. Push the snails into the water to build a path to Déjà Vu’s Soul Gem (Black Hole Bedlam).

Bluster Squall Island

Cross the wooden bridge near the Earth Gate and take out the Chompies on the small island. Pick up the bridge and move it to the other bridge spot. Defeat the small group of evil minions on the other side, then pick up the bridge and move it again. Before crossing the bridge, go into Cheddar House, the small hut on the island.

Cross the bridge to the larger island. Destroy the Traptanium crystal to reveal the Legendary Bubble Fish. Continue up the metal walkway to reach Big Hook.

Cheddar House

Get the Winged Sapphire from the corner of the house. Speak with Galley to learn more about Chef Pepper Jack’s quest. Completing the quest opens the way to a Treasure Chest.

Big Hook & Fish Mouth

The winding metal walkway ends at a claw control panel. Interact with the panel and get ready for some odd fishing. Pick up a bucket of bait and drop it into the water. When the Rainfish swims under the bait, grab it with the crane. Jump down and walk into the beast’s mouth and retrieve the Information Squid.

Back at Skylander Academy

When you have control of your Skylander, step to the left and place Legendary Bubble Fish near the quick travel portals. Follow the coins that lead to the Main Hall. Crossbones has another challenger for Skaletones Showdown. Auric has new items for sale.

Auric’s Inventory

The Upper Hallway of the Main Hall is now open. Visit the Hat Store, where Hatterson has a quest for Hoodsickle.

The Game Room is also open. Dreadbeard offers to play Skystones Smash inside. Jump on the Element-based platforms with a matching Skylander to move up higher. Reach the top and claim your prize.
