Little Help from a Friend
It’s a secret to everybody, but playing the Scarecrow’s Song at certain locations causes the scarecrow to appear. Once summoned, the scarecrow serves as an anchor point for your newfound Hookshot. Give it a try!
Soar to Mountain Village, and once you arrive, take the north path to visit the Snowhead Trail. When you arrive at the Snowhead Trail, put on the Goron Mask, and start rolling. Launch off the first ramp at top speed to clear the trail’s first gap, then roll onward a little ways, but tap 
to stop rolling just before you reach the second ramp. Take off the Goron Mask, and use the Lens of Truth to spy a series of invisible platforms nearby to the east.
Jump across the invisible platforms until you reach the final platform, being wary of the circling Keese. When you reach the final platform, a Piece of Heart tempts you from atop a distant pillar. It’s too far to reach by jumping, but there’s another way. Whip out your ocarina, and play the Scarecrow’s Song that you created back in Clock Town.
Summoned by the magic of the Scarecrow’s Song, the Scarecrow pops up on the pillar, right next to the Piece of Heart. Aim the Hookshot at the Scarecrow, and fire to zip over to him. Collect the Piece of Heart, then soar back to Clock Town with your prize.

You got a Piece of Heart! Collect four Pieces of Heart to assemble a new Heart Container. Each new container you put together increases the amount of life energy you can have.
Save the Day
OK, time is really running out by now, so you know the drill: soar to Clock Town and deposit your Rupees before saving your game. Afterward, play the Song of Time to return to the Dawn of the First Day. Get plenty of rest, for there’s lots more adventuring to be had with the Hookshot.
