The following items can only be found in dungeons (temples). Seek them out to aid you in your quest.
Boss Key
A vital item to find in any dungeon, the Boss Key lets Link enter the Boss Door and face off against the dungeon’s boss. Be ready for a big battle after you pass through the Boss Door.
Compass
The Compass conveniently reveals all treasure chests within a dungeon by showing their locations on your map. Once you’ve found the Compass, you can easily track down the dungeon’s precious treasures.
Dungeon Map
Link makes a map of each dungeon as he explores, but the entire temple is instantly revealed once you discover the Dungeon Map. This makes getting around much easier since you can see how the dungeon is constructed room by room and floor by floor.
Heart Container
Each new boss that Link defeats leaves behind a precious Heart Container. These ultra-rare items instantly add a full Heart to Link’s life energy, making him much stronger. It’s like finding four Pieces of Heart all at once!
Small Key
Many dungeons feature locked doors that Link can’t open until he finds a Small Key. These keys are unique to each dungeon, so you can’t use a Small Key from one temple in another. Small Keys vanish after being used, but there are exactly as many Small Keys as there are locked doors in each dungeon, so you can open every door. If you’re stuck at a locked door, start thoroughly searching for a Small Key.
Stray Fairy
Each dungeon contains 15 Stray Fairies for Link to find. The Skull Kid has scattered these little fellows, so look high and low for them. Whenever you see a Stray Fairy floating around, use the Great Fairy’s Mask to draw it toward you and rescue it. You’ll also find Stray Fairies inside treasure chests, and some are released after you defeat certain enemies in dungeons. Many Stray Fairies are also trapped in bubbles that you must pop with an arrow or sword strike before you can rescue the Stray Fairy.
