“They” Live
That’s enough excitement for now—you don’t want to be late for helping Romani. Soar to Milk Road and save your game, then play Epona’s Song and ride Epona west into Romani Ranch. When you arrive, play the Song of Double Time to advance to 1 a.m. on the First Day, then play the Inverted Song of Time to revert the flow of time to normal. Smash the nearby crate to find some arrows, and then wait patiently near the ranch for Romani to walk out of her house (the building that Epona was stabled near).
Romani exits her house at exactly 2 a.m. on the First Day and walks to the barn. Speak to her outside (or in the barn) to learn that “they” are going to arrive at any minute. She tells you to watch for “them” on your map and not to let any of “them” into the barn. She warns you that “they’ll” come from behind the barn and tells you that she has placed crates of arrows near the house if you need to stock up (you’ll be using your own arrows during this mission, so your supply is limited).
If you went into the barn, leave, and then smash the crate outside again for more arrows. At precisely 2:30 a.m. on the First Day, “they” arrive. Check your map to find it full of pink dots. Each of these dots represents one of “them.” Keep close to the barn, and shoot down every one of “them” with the Hero’s Bow. You can do this from horseback or while running around with the Bunny Hood on for speed, whichever you prefer.
Keep the flow of time set to normal, for you must fight “them” off for a full three hours (until 5 a.m.). If even one of “them” reaches the barn, “they’ll” succeed in abducting all of the cows, along with poor little Romani. Do everything in your power to shoot “them” all down and prevent this from happening.
Succeed in keeping “them” away from the barn, and Romani becomes overjoyed. Before heading off to catch some much-needed rest, she rewards your heroic efforts with a bottle of her farm’s freshest milk. Of course, the real prize is the Empty Bottle that you get to keep after you’ve enjoyed its nutritious contents. Well done, hero!
