Buy a Map
As you navigate the trail to Goron Village, cut down the Blue Tektite and White Wolfos that pop up from the ground in ambush. After slaying the White Wolfos, look up to find Tingle floating around on his red balloon. Pop it with an arrow or a Deku Link bubble, and then pay Tingle 20 Rupees to purchase his map of Snowhead. This provides you with a map of the entire mountain region, including Goron Village.

You got a map of Snowhead! Now you can find your way around the mountains. The red arrow on the map shows where you entered, and the yellow arrow shows your current location.
White Wolfos
Damage: 1 Heart
Cousins to the Wolfos encountered around the Southern Swamp, White Wolfos reside in the snowy reaches of Snowhead Mountain. Their attacks are similar, but even more powerful. Battle them just as you would a Wolfos: lock on and dodge their claw swipes, then counter by striking their vulnerable tails. Or, make things easier on yourself by picking them off from afar with your Hero’s Bow.
Frozen Finds
The trail’s icy lower area is actually a frozen lake. Its slippery surface features lots of big snowballs that you can blast to bits, along with an old Goron that’s frozen solid. You can’t thaw out the poor Goron at present, but hopefully, you’ll find a way to help him later. The chest that lies at the bottom of the frozen lake is also unattainable.
Return to the high ground and cross the bridges, heading east to Goron Village. Take note of a big chunk of ice that’s covering a hole in the ground along the way. What could be down there?
