Through courage and wit, Link has cleansed Woodfall Temple of evil and made things right in the Southern Swamp. In the process, he has succeeded in freeing one of four ancient beings with the power to help undo the Skull Kid’s terrible deeds. Link’s Fairy companion, Tatl, believes that another great being can be found somewhere in the land’s northern mountains, a region that Link has yet to explore.
Dirty Deed
Termina’s northern mountains beckon, but there’s something worth doing before you strike out north. Play the Song of Time to reset to the Dawn of the First Day if you haven’t yet, then play the Inverted Song of Time to slow down time as usual. After that, set about obtaining the Swamp Title Deed, which comes in handy during your explorations of the mountains. Remember how to get the Swamp Title Deed? Put on the Bunny Hood to hasten your travels, then do the following:
Give the secret code to the Bomber guard in East Clock Town so you may enter the sewers. (You’ll need to take off the Bunny Hood to give him the code.)
Head through the sewers to reach the observatory. Along the way, use the Blast Mask to bomb the cracked wall near the Skulltula in the sewers, and then loot the Silver Rupee chest. (Remember to raise your shield before exploding.)
Go to the observatory, spy on the Skull Kid through the telescope, and then collect the Moon’s Tear after it falls from the moon. Play the Song of Soaring and soar back to Clock Town. Speak to the Business Scrub in South Clock Town, and trade him the Moon’s Tear for the Town Title Deed.
Play the Song of Soaring again and warp to the Southern Swamp. When you arrive, feel free to cut the nearby tall grass and bottle a Fairy—it may come in handy.
Climb the Swamp Tourist Center’s ladder, and speak to the Business Scrub up there as normal Link (not Deku Link). Trade him the Town Title Deed for the Swamp Title Deed.
Head for the Hills
Once you’ve obtained the Swamp Title Deed, soar back to Clock Town, and exit through its north gate. The uncharted reaches of Termina’s northern mountains await!
