Mountain Owl Statue

Brrr— this place is freezing! Luckily, there’s a cabin nearby. Before heading inside to warm up, activate the nearby owl statue to unlock a new Song of Soaring warp point, and then save your progress.

Mountain Smithy

Take shelter in the cabin, and you’ll meet the Mountain Smithy. Speak with the giant man at the counter, whose incoherent groaning awakens the shop’s proprietor, Zubora. (The giant’s name is Gabora.) Unfortunately, the recent cold snap has frozen the smithy’s hearth, and no work can be done to improve Link’s blade at present. If you could find some hot water, perhaps you could thaw out the hearth. Something to keep in mind.

Grumble, Grumble—

Exit the cabin, and continue searching the area. A Goron has gotten himself stuck on a high ledge not far from the Mountain Smithy. The poor Goron can’t get down, and he simply wants something tough and hard to chew before he freezes. Nothing you’ve got can satisfy his craving, so you’ll have to leave him be for now.

To Goron Village!

The nearby slope leads higher into the mountains, but you aren’t quite ready to make the journey to Snowhead yet. Explore behind the Mountain Smithy cabin to find another trail that leads toward Goron Village. A nearby sign warns that White Wolfos lie ahead, so be on your guard.
