Helping Romani
Follow the trail west and then north to locate the small ranch where Link’s horse, Epona, is stabled. This time, you get to ride her around.
Speak to the young girl who’s running around nearby. She didn’t say much the last time you were here, but now that it’s the First Day, she’s much more talkative.
Her name is Romani, and she’s practicing for something that’s going to happenthis evening…
Romani goes on to say that “they” are coming. “They” come at night every year when the Carnival of Time approaches, and “they” steal Romani’s cows.
Romani says that “they” will appear all over the ranch and slowly approach the barn where the cows are kept. She wants you to shoot “them” down with arrows before they reach the barn.
Romani wants to recruit you to help her. Accept her offer, and she’ll test your skills in training.
During Romani’s training, 10 ghost-shaped balloons appear around the ranch. You have two minutes to pop them all with arrows, but the current record is just one minute. Ride around on Epona and fire arrows at the balloons, popping them all as quickly as you can. Check your map to see where the balloons are located (they’re the pink dots).
While riding Epona, you can press 
to spur her along and move faster. Spurring Epona along with 
uses up the carrots that appear on the bottom of the screen. Epona can’t sprint when there are no carrots left, but the carrots reappear over time. Press 
to fire arrows from horseback (you have an unlimited supply), and pop all 10 balloons in under two minutes to pass Romani’s test.

Complete Romani’s test in under two minutes, and she’ll graciously teach you Epona’s Song (

). Play the notes to learn the song, and you’ll be able to call for Epona whenever you’re exploring in the field.
After you learn Epona’s Song, Romani tells you that “they” are coming tonight at 2 a.m. “They” run away at dawn, but Romani needs your help to fight them off until then. Agree to help Romani, and she’ll ask you to return at 2 a.m. Romani is then also added to your Bombers’ Notebook.
