The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D eGuide Walkthrough Chapter 12: Love and Marriage

Sakons Hideout

Room 1: Entrance

Once you’re inside Sakon’s Hideout, take off the Stone Mask, and go through the door ahead of you. You find Kafei in the next room. He’s found the Sun’s Mask that Sakon stole from him.

Unfortunately, Kafei sets off a security system by stepping on a floor switch. A conveyor belt draws the mask into another room, the door to which closes when Kafei steps off the floor switch. Not good!

Kafei asks Link to stand on the floor switch and keep the door open so that he can pursue the mask. Move Link onto the floor switch, and you’ll be granted control of Kafei. Hurry through the door to the next room.

Room 2: Four Blocks and a Floor Switch

The room beyond the door features a floor switch that’s surrounded by four stone blocks. Quickly grab one of the blocks, and shove it onto the floor switch in the middle. Doing so opens a door, allowing Link to enter the room and explore its other side.

The action switches to Link. Move him into the room with Kafei, and slay the Deku Baba that guards the far door. This opens the door back near Kafei, letting him proceed into the next room ahead of Link.

Room 3: Floor Switches Galore

You now have control of Kafei again. Hurry into the next room, but be careful not to step on any of its red floor switches. Red switches cause the conveyor belt to speed up, which is not good. Step on the yellow floor switches instead to briefly slow the conveyor belt as you carefully make your way to the blue floor switch in the corner.

Triggering the blue floor switch opens a door that lets Link into the room. As Link, hurry inside, and cut down two Deku Babas to open the way forward for Kafei. As Kafei, step on the central yellow floor switch to slow the conveyor belt again on your way into the next room.

Room 4: Lots o’ Blocks

This room is filled with stone blocks that you must move in order to reach the blue floor switch to the south. Here’s how to solve the room and reach the blue switch:

Run over to the farthest block near the far (right) wall, and shove it downward.

Step on the red floor switch, then quickly shove the center block to the left, moving it onto the yellow floor switch. This slows the conveyor belt once more.

Shove the nearby block downward, moving it onto the blue floor switch.

With the blue floor switch triggered, the door opens for Link. Enter the room to face off against a Wolfos. This pesky enemy takes a little time to defeat. Move to the middle of the room and lock on to the Wolfos, then dodge its attack so that it spins around. Strike its backside to slay it, and then open the final chamber.

Room 5: Final Chamber

This one’s a breeze: just move Kafei onto the nearby blue floor switch to open the door for Link. Then, move Link onto the other blue floor switch to shut off the conveyor belt.

With both floor switches depressed, the conveyor belt deactivates. Way to go! You’ve helped Kafei reclaim the Sun’s Mask.

That’s Amore!

With the Sun’s Mask back in Kafei’s possession, the child wastes no time in racing back to Clock Town. Soar there ahead of him, save your game, and then hurry to the Stock Pot Inn.

When you arrive at the inn, go upstairs and enter the door at the top of the stairs to visit the small storage room with the Silver Rupee chest. Assuming you gave Anju the Pendant of Memories before, you find her sitting on the bed here, anxiously awaiting her love, Kafei.

Open the nearby chest for a Silver Rupee, if you like, and then simply wait for Kafei to arrive. (Play the Inverted Song of Time to return the flow of time to normal and shorten your wait.) He won’t show up until the final hour of the Final Day, at which point he and Anju share a very touching moment.

United by the strength of their love even as the world around them falls apart, Kafei and Anju can’t thank you enough for helping them. They give you the Couple’s Mask to commemorate their joy. Well done!

Couple’s Mask

You got the Couple’s Mask! It’s filled with their love.

Meeting Adjourned

You’ve helped reunite Kafei and Anju, but there’s little time left before the moon crashes down. Play the Song of Time to return to the Dawn of the First Day, then head for the Mayor’s Residence, located at the north end of East Clock Town.

Enter the Mayor’s Residence when it opens at 10 a.m. Put on the Couple’s Mask, and go through the door to the left of the reception desk this time to visit the Mayor’s office. Here, the town’s guards and townsfolk are quarreling over what to do about the looming moon. Talk to them while wearing the Couple’s Mask, and you’ll remind everyone that good things are happening these days, even with all the trouble around town.

The Mayor is so pleased to have the argument quelled that he gives you a special token of his gratitude: a Piece of Heart. Nice work!

Piece of Heart #46

You got a Piece of Heart! Collect four Pieces of Heart to assemble a new Heart Container. Each new container you put together increases the amount of life energy you can have.

Piece of Heart #47

You got a Piece of Heart! Collect four Pieces of Heart to assemble a new Heart Container. Each new container you put together increases the amount of life energy you can have.

A Hat and a Heart

Remember when you read that there are two ways to deliver the Special Delivery to Mama? It’s worth exploring the other method at this point. In fact, it’s the very last thing you’ve left to do. Save and rewind to the Dawn of the First Day, then reclaim the Special Delivery to Mama by doing the following:

Put on Kafei’s Mask, and go to the Stock Pot Inn. Wait for the postman to deliver a letter to Anju just after 2 p.m., then speak to Anju and agree to meet her in the kitchen at 11:30 p.m.

Use the Deku Flower to reach the inn’s roof, and sneak in through the second-floor door at night. Go downstairs, meet Anju in the kitchen around midnight, and agree to help her. She’ll give you a letter to mail.

Leave the inn, and put the letter that Anju gave you into any mailbox. Play the Song of Double Time afterward and advance to the Dawn of the Second Day.

Go to the Laundry Pool, and hide behind the tree. When the postman arrives and rings the bell at 3 p.m., Kafei emerges from a nearby locked door. Sneak into the door while Kafei isn’t looking.

Wait inside Kafei’s hideout until he returns. Speak with Kafei inside his hideout, and obtain the Pendant of Memories.

Give the Pendant of Memories to Anju at the Stock Pot Inn, then play the Song of Double Time and advance to the Dawn of the Final Day.

Go to the Laundry Pool area again, and reenter Kafei’s hideout when the door becomes unlocked after 1 p.m. Inside, speak to the man from the Curiosity Shop, and obtain the Special Delivery to Mama.

Great! Now that you’ve got the Special Delivery to Mama, you’ll deliver it in a different way. Go to West Clock Town’s north end, and enter the Post Office after 6 p.m. on the Night of the Final Day (use the Song of Double Time to speed things up). Inside, you find the postman in quite a state. Take the postman’s mind off distressing matters by giving him the Special Delivery to Mama.

The postman dutifully sets about his task. Follow him to the Latte Milk Bar in East Clock Town, and then simply wait outside while he makes the delivery.

Continue waiting outside the Latte Milk Bar until the postman exits the building. He runs over to the nearby east gate; speak with the postman when he comes to a stop, and he’ll hand you the Postman’s Hat before hurrying out of town.

Postman’s Hat

You got the Postman’s Hat! This dignified hat allows you to check the mail.

Now that you’ve got the Postman’s Hat, put it on and check any mailbox around Clock Town. Out pops a Piece of Heart!

Piece of Heart #48

You got a Piece of Heart! Collect four Pieces of Heart to assemble a new Heart Container. Each new container you put together increases the amount of life energy you can have.

The End is Nigh

Well done, hero! You’ve just accomplished everything of importance around Termina. Only the final battle against the Skull Kid remains now. Save your game in preparation for the big showdown atop the Clock Tower.
