A monstrous mechanical beast awaits Link at the top of Snowhead Temple. It must be the great demon that Darmani mentioned.
Goht is frozen solid—use a Fire Arrow to free the beast. Once you’ve melted the ice, Goht roars to life and begins to charge, smashing right through a wall.
You’ve got to catch that monster! Don the Goron Mask, press
to curl up into a ball, and then start rolling after Goht. But beware: this bad boss tries to zap you with powerful orbs of crackling energy as you give chase. Goht also kicks up large rocks that can stop you in your tracks if they hit you. Do your best to avoid Goht’s attacks as you chase the monster around the circular track.
Once you’re rolling at top speed, aim to ram Goht with Goron Link’s spikes. Ram Goht several times to flip the monster over. Rolling at top speed consumes magic power, however, so be sure to smash the big green jars that appear around the track as you pursue Goht. Keep restoring your magic power so that you can continue chasing after and ramming into the boss.
Flip Goht over to expose a giant eyeball, which is his weak spot. Take off the Goron Mask,
-Target the eyeball, and then shoot it with Fire Arrows. Goht recovers after a short time, but you can snap off three Fire Arrows if you’re quick on the draw.
The chase becomes more and more challenging as Goht nears defeat, for the monster gains speed and starts to drop bombs at you. Big stalactites also fall from the ceiling, creating obstacles that can bring your roll to a sudden halt. Avoid all of Goht’s attacks, and keep rolling into the monster to stun it so you may shoot its vulnerable eye. Don’t give up the chase until you finally get the better of Goht.
Have a Heart
Like the boss of Woodfall Temple, Goht leaves behind a Heart Container after he falls. Collect this precious prize to give Link even more life energy.
Heart Container #2
You got a Heart Container! Your maximum life energy is increased by one Heart. You also get a full refill of life energy.
Snowhead Spirit
After collecting the Heart Container, pick up the nearby mask that’s encased in soft blue light. It’s Goht’s Remains.
Goht’s Remains
You’ve seized Goht’s Remains! In doing so, you’ve freed the innocent spirit that was imprisoned within this dark mask.
After you collect Goht’s Remains, a familiar scene plays out. Link is shifted to an otherworldly place, and a voice calls out from the beyond. Once again, Tatl is able to make out very little. In fact, she can only understand one word: “Guardians.”
It now seems clear that these mysterious
beings are protective gods that live in these ancient temples. Perhaps if you save them all, the Guardians can help you undo the Skull Kid’s evil deeds
