The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D eGuide Walkthrough Chapter 3: Termina Field and the Southern Swamp

Southern Swamp (Revisited) 1

Magic Hags’Potion Shop

Koume invited you to visit her at the Swamp Tourist Center, but you might as well pop by the Potion Shop on your way there. Now that you have a bottle, you can buy a Green Potion for 10 Rupees or a Red Potion for 20 Rupees. Green Potions restore all of Link’s magic power, while Red Potions restore all of his life energy. Kotake could also sell you a Blue Potion for 60 Rupees, which restores all of Link’s magic power and life energy at once, but she lacks the ingredients to make one. Perhaps you’ll help her out with that one day.

Koume’s Boat Tour

Leave the Potion Shop, and make your way back to the Swamp Tourist Center. Sure enough, Koume is at her post, happily running her boat cruise. Speak with her, and she’ll offer you a free boat cruise as thanks for your help back in the Woods of Mystery. In addition, the happy hag hands over a Pictograph Box so that you can take pictures during your tour.

Pictograph Box

You got a Pictograph Box! Tap the Pictograph Box button on the Touch Screen to look through it, and press to snap a picture. You can store only one pictograph at a time, but you can retake it as frequently as you like.

After your chat with Koume, the scene immediately shifts to Link’s exciting boat ride. If you like, equip the Pictograph Box and use it to take pictures as you go. Your Pictograph Box stores just one picture, so keep only your best shot.

As the tour progresses, your boat rams directly into a Big Octo that’s blocking off one of the tunnels that leads deeper into the swamp. Outta the way, Octo! Now you can explore more of this soggy region.

Deku Palace Dock

The tour boat soon pulls up to a dock near Deku Palace. Another troubled monkey—or perhaps the same one—appears to be signaling for your attention here. Disembark from the boat, and talk to the monkey.

Monkey Business

The little monkey informs you that the Dekus captured his brother after he tried to enter the temple above the waterfall. The Dekus are now holding his brother within their imposing palace. The monkey begs for your help before running off toward the palace. You’d better hurry after him!
