The following items are also stored on the Gear subscreen, but they’re all kept in the space on the right. These special items are used to help Link complete certain quests, and they’re lost when he plays the Song of Time to rewind back to the Dawn of the First Day.
Letter to Kafei
During his effort to locate a missing person in Clock Town named Kafei, Link finds himself in the middle of a troubled love affair involving Kafei and the Stock Pot Inn’s keeper, Anju. At one point, Anju asks Link to deliver an important letter to Kafei for her. Link simply needs to deposit this letter in any mailbox around Clock Town to complete Anju’s request.
Moon’s Tear
During his visit to the Astral Observatory, Link gets to look through the astronomer’s telescope. After spotting the Skull Kid atop the Clock Tower, Link notices something drop from the eye of the looming moon. Head outside to find the mysterious object that fell: the Moon’s Tear. Give this item to the Business Scrub near the Clock Tower, and he’ll give you the Town Title Deed in trade. This lets you use the Scrub’s Deku Flower and reach the Clock Tower’s roof during the Night of the Final Day.
MountainTitle Deed
Speak to the Business Scrub near Goron Village as Deku Link, and the Scrub tells you that he’d like to set up shop closer to home. Give the Scrub the Swamp Title Deed (if you have it), and he’ll give you the Mountain Title Deed in trade. This lets you use the Business Scrub’s Deku Flower to reach a nearby Piece of Heart.
Ocean Title Deed
Speak to the Business Scrub in Zora Hall as Goron Link (he’s in Lulu’s dressing room), and the Scrub confides that he’d like to set up shop in the fresh mountain air. Give the Scrub the Mountain Title Deed (if you have it), and he’ll give you the Ocean Title Deed in trade. This lets you use the Business Scrub’s Deku Flower to reach a nearby Piece of Heart.
Pendant of Memories
Another item linked to Clock Town’s troubled lovebirds, Kafei and Anju, the Pendant of Memories is a special keepsake that Kafei asks Link to give to Anju. Deliver the Pendant of Memories to Anju at the Stock Pot Inn, and she’ll know that Kafei still cares for her. She’ll then decide to wait for him, no matter what the future holds.
Room Key
Once Link finds the Goron Mask, he’s able to enter a new room in the Stock Pot Inn. Put on the Goron Mask, enter the Stock Pot Inn at 3 p.m. on the First Day, and then speak to Anju at the front desk. She’ll mistake you for a Goron that has already booked a room at the inn, and she’ll give you the Room Key. This lets you open the upstairs hall’s middle door and plunder a Silver Rupee from a chest. The Room Key also lets you enter the inn late at night when the front door is commonly locked.
Special Delivery to Mama
Yet another item tied to Kafei and Anju’s troubled love affair, the Special Delivery to Mama is an important letter that Link must deliver to Kafei’s mom, Madame Aroma. Link can do this by hand-delivering the letter to Madame Aroma at the Latte Milk Bar in East Clock Town after 6 p.m. on the Night of the Final Day, or by giving the letter to the postman to deliver for him. (Visit the Post Office in West Clock Town after 6 p.m. on the Night of the Final Day to give the postman the letter.) The manner in which Link goes about delivering this mail determines the potential rewards that he can receive. True heroes will want to use the Song of Time and explore both delivery options.
Swamp Title Deed
Talk to the Business Scrub near the Southern Swamp Tourist Center as normal Link, and the Scrub tells you that he’d like to set up shop in a livelier place. Give the Scrub the Town Title Deed (if you have it), and he’ll give you the Swamp Title Deed in trade. This lets you use the Business Scrub’s Deku Flower and reach a nearby Piece of Heart atop the Swamp Tourist Center.
Town Title Deed
After using the astronomer’s telescope to spot the Skull Kid and discover the Moon’s Tear, return to Clock Town, and speak to the Business Scrub in the Deku Flower near the Clock Tower. The Scrub shoos you away at first, but speak to him again, and he’ll tell you how much he’d love to have a Moon’s Tear. Give the Scrub the Moon’s Tear, and he’ll give you the Town Title Deed in trade. This lets you use the Scrub’s Deku Flower to reach the top of the Clock Tower, along with two chests in the area (one of which only appears during the Final Day).
