Familiar Fiends
Unlike the other playgrounds, this one features enemies that pose threats to Link. Enter the first room to square off against an aggressive, fire-breathing Dinolfos. Block its attacks, dodge its flames, and counter with Link’s steel.
The next room is empty. Proceed to the room beyond to face off against the Garo Master. Block its swift strikes as you back it toward a wall, then stun it with the Hookshot, and quickly slash it with Link’s blade. Repeat this technique until you’ve defeated the Garo Master.
Defeating the Garo Master causes a chest to appear on a high ledge. Hookshot the chest to reach it, then open it for a bundle of 30 arrows. Proceed through the nearby door to reach the next room.
Advance until you reach a room that’s home to an Iron Knuckle. Remember these formidable fiends? Hit it with an arrow to awaken it from afar, then dodge its devastating attacks, and quickly counter each time with a blow of your own.
After you’ve knocked off its armor, the Iron Knuckle becomes faster and more aggressive. Fortunately, you’ve a new weapon to use against it: Light Arrows. Keep your distance, make the Iron Knuckle miss, then counter with a Light Arrow from afar. This is a safer way of combatting this aggressive menace.
After the Iron Knuckle falls, a chest appears. It contains 10 Bombchus. Look around after opening the chest, and spy a cracked wall up high. That’s what those Bombchus are for!
Position Link so that he’s near the center of the room, facing the cracked wall with the entry door to his right. Once you’re in position, pull out a Bombchu. Wait for the Bombchu to blink three times, then release the Bombchu to send it scurrying up to the cracked wall.
If you time it correctly, the Bombchu detonates just as it reaches the cracked wall. This blasts a hole in the wall, exposing an eye switch. Hit the eye switch with an arrow to make a ladder appear that leads up to a high door.
This just happens to be the final Piece of Heart in the game. Take a moment to enjoy that nice, full Heart meter.
Climb the ladder and go through the door to reach a small room. Hey, there’s a Piece of Heart in there!
Piece of Heart #52
You got a Piece of Heart! Collect four Pieces of Heart to assemble a new Heart Container. Each new container you put together increases the amount of life energy you can have.
You’ve found the final Piece of Heart, but the room is still sealed. Look up to spy a large crack in the ceiling. Stand in the center of the room and pull out a Bombchu. Again, wait for it to blink three times before you release it.
If you timed it properly, the Bombchu scales the wall and detonates just as it reaches the crack in the ceiling. This exposes a frozen eye switch. Melt it with a Fire Arrow to unseal the far door, and then go through to reach the final room.
The masked child awaits in the final room. Give him your last four non-transformation masks (bye bye, Bunny Hood) to be returned to the grassy field.
One Mask to Rule Them All
Make one last trek to the big tree, and save your game. Only the lonely child who wears Majora’s Mask remains. If (and only if) you played all of the other masked children’s games and gave away all 20 of the non-transformation masks, then this child will give you a very special mask: the Fierce Deity’s Mask.
Fierce Deity’s Mask
You got the Fierce Deity’s Mask! Could this mask’s dark powers be as bad as Majora? Tremendous power is emanating from within…
The Fierce Deity’s Mask can only be used during boss battles. It transforms Link into a towering, but youthful, warrior of the gods. Fierce Deity Link’s sword is the most powerful weapon in the game, and it fires lethal beams at enemies that Link has
-Targeted from afar. In short, this is a great mask to have going into the final battle.
