Playing With Super Power: Nintendo Super NES Classics Guide › Super Mario Kart

Notable Foes

Cheep Cheep

As they flop around in unpredictable patterns, hitting or being hit by a Cheep Cheep will cause racers to spin out, ruining an otherwise enjoyable day at the beach.

Monty Mole

Monty Moles randomly jump out of their holes and attach themselves to a racer, causing them to lose speed and Coins. The only way to end the encounter is to jump repeatedly to shake them off.

Thwomp & Super Thwomp

Thwomps appear overhead and—after the first lap—systematically smash down onto the track, spinning out any racers at ground zero and blocking any racers who run into them. Super Thwomps appear exclusively on Rainbow Road and also spin out any racer who comes into contact with them.
