Reach Extraction

As you step outside the garage, immediately rush behind the stone wall ahead and take cover—the adjoining cemetery is filled with enemy snipers. Don’t even think about accessing the nearby ammo crate or weapon box unless you want to be perforated by a sniper’s bullet. Instead, swap cover to one of the nearby tombstones or crypts. When you’ve reached cover, deploy the UAV to scout ahead. From the UAV view, you can spot enemy snipers atop the crypts and mausoleums in the cemetery—issue focus-fire orders on each sniper you detect.

There are only a few snipers in the cemetery, but more lurk beyond. Two snipers are in the church and a couple of snipers are in the dacha on the right. Instead of trying to identify these targets on your own, use the UAV to mark them for your teammates. At this range, Sensors don’t offer much help, as the snipers are far beyond their detection radius. Smoke grenades and Magnetic view don’t offer much help either. So utilize the tombstones and low walls to advance through the cemetery. Swap from one piece of cover to the next to reduce your chances of getting hit.

Tactical Challenge: Engraved

Criteria: Rack up kills on all enemy snipers in the cemetery without being shot

There are two parts to this challenge. First, you need to avoid getting shot by snipers while advancing through the cemetery. The easiest way to do this is by staying behind cover. When you need to move, always use the cover swap method, sprinting from one tombstone to the next. The UAV is the safest way to locate enemy snipers. While in the UAV view, you can spot white glints in the distances, as the sun reflects off each sniper’s scope. Use these glints to zero-in on each sniper then peek out of cover to take a shot. While peeking out of cover, you run the risk of getting shot, resulting in failure of this challenge. So quickly duck back behind cover if you see a red aiming laser pointed in your direction. Using the sniper rifle’s EXACTO ammo allows you to lock onto each sniper you encounter, guaranteeing a hit. But if you get shot at any time during this sequence, restart from the previous checkpoint (by the garage) and try again. You need to take out these snipers on your own. If your teammates kill all the snipers in the cemetery, the challenge will not be completed.

After clearing out the snipers, approach the exit to the cemetery and prepare to engage more hostiles. There’s no need to sneak around—these guys are waiting for you. Target the enemy troops positioned on the dacha’s balcony, but watch for more reinforcements approaching from the church on the left—don’t let them flank you. Deploy Sensors to keep tabs on the nearby enemies, then issue focus-fire orders for your team. A few enemies may attack beyond the range of your hand-thrown Sensors. So use the UAV to track down these distant enemies and mark them for your team.

Once the area around the church and dacha is secure, follow your team through the nearby shallow river and regroup beneath a bridge. While pausing beneath the bridge, the Ghosts detect enemy reinforcements moving toward General Douka’s position. If these troop transports manage to flank the General, the whole mission will be in jeopardy. It looks like the mission isn’t over quite yet. It’s time to take out those reinforcements in an effort to secure General Douka’s flank.
