Locate CIA Officer Sykes

The nav data from the cargo plane has lead the Ghost team to Nigeria. It’s unclear how this region ties into the weapons obtained by Paez and Macaba. But there’s a good chance Watchgate is involved. Watchgate is a Private Military Company (PMC) operating in the region, officially serving as security consultants for oil companies. The CIA’s man on the ground, Officer Daniel Sykes, will likely know more of Watchgate’s involvement. But Sykes has gone missing and nearby Yakoromor village was his last known location. As the Ghost team sneaks toward the village along a shallow waterway, they witness a few Watchgate mercs gun down a couple of locals for no apparent reason. These guys don’t play fair. It’s time to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Mission Map

In this mission, you have access to a new piece of equipment: the UAV. This miniaturized, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is small enough to take off and land from the operator’s palm. But don’t let its small size fool you. The UAV is one of the most effective reconnaissance tools available, allowing the Ghosts to receive real-time encrypted intelligence from up to 50 meters above the area of operations. The UAV is equipped with a high-resolution infrared camera complete with a zoom lens and two vision modes perfect for identifying the heat signatures (and weapons) of hostile contacts. However, the camera cannot penetrate through solid objects such as walls and rooftops, where devices like the Sensor or Magnetic view prove more effective. Still, the UAV’s ability to take to the sky and scout ahead should never be overlooked.

Follow the on-screen prompts to launch the UAV and pilot it toward the nearby shack, which is marked with a waypoint. Fly the UAV just above the shack where it can peer through a hole in the rooftop. The UAV identifies four hostiles inside the shack, all armed with rifles. There is also an unarmed merc—you need to interrogate this guy to find Officer Sykes’s whereabouts. Exit the UAV view and prepare to assault the shack.

While Ghost Lead and 30K stack up on one of the shack’s doorways, follow Pepper to the doorway on the opposite side of the shack. As you approach the door, Magnetic view is automatically activated, providing a better view of the four hostiles inside. From your entry point, the merc on the left side of the shack, nearest your door, is the best target to focus on. When you’re ready to attack, give the breach order. During entry, pan your aim to the left side of the room and open fire on the merc by the window. Within a couple of seconds, all hostiles are down. Once the room is clear, Kozak grabs the unarmed merc in the center of the room and shoves him to the floor while jamming a pistol to the back of his head. It’s not long before he coughs up the intel you’ve been hoping for—Sykes is being held at the nearby refinery, within a shipping container.
