Eliminate Bukharov

After entering the HQ, a brief cinematic shows the demonstrators continuing their march through the streets of Moscow. The Ghosts have certainly done their fair share of keeping the heat off the procession, but it’s not over yet. General Bukharov has barricaded himself in this office building, surrounding himself with Raven’s Rock fanatics. As soon as your team enters the office, you come under fire by a mounted machine gun. Sprint to cover and issue a focus-fire order on the gunner. Due to the steel plate in front of the gun, it’s tough to get a clear shot. But even the steel plate won’t protect the gunner from a direct hit with a grenade launcher. Simply launch a grenade at the steel plate to kill the gunner behind it. In addition to the mounted machine gun, there are Bodark units lurking about. Lob EMP grenades at them, then take them out before they can recover.

A second mounted machine gun opens fire as your team pushes deeper into the office. Once again, stay behind cover and wait for a pause in the firing, then peek out and launch a grenade at the steel plate on the front of the machine gun. Beyond the second machine gun are a few hostiles equipped with ballistic shields. Don’t waste time flanking these guys. Just knock them out with a blast from your grenade launcher. Deploy Sensors to locate any other enemies hiding among the cubicles. However, Sensors won’t detect Bodark units. So advance cautiously. When Bodark units are encountered, toss EMP grenades at them and gun them down. When the office is “Clear,” according to your HUD, regroup with your team at the elevator, which is marked with a waypoint. The elevator is out of service, so the Ghosts must climb a ladder in the elevator shaft to reach Bukharov’s office. As they move into position, a cinematic shows President Makhmudov being evacuated from a news conference.

Bukahrov’s Office

Upon reaching the exterior of Bukharov’s office, Ghost Lead conducts a Magnetic view reading that reveals multiple hostiles inside. Instead of barging through the front door, Ghost Lead suggests making a new entrance. Move to the wall next to Pepper and step inside the white ring icon on the HUD. You’re prompted to plant a C4 charge to initiate the breach. Before planting the charge, use Magnetic view to get a quick glimpse of the enemies waiting inside. This can help you plan which targets to attack upon entry. When you’re ready to attack, plant the charge on the wall and prepare to enter.

Time slows as your team assaults the office, so you have time to take down multiple enemies. Sweep your aim from the right to the left, blasting all enemy troops within sight. You automatically take cover behind a conference table following the breach. Toss a Sensor ahead to locate any remaining enemies and engage them through cover. Bukharov hides behind a desk at the far side of the room. But you don’t need to wait for him to peek out. Simply fire through the desk to strike him. Once Bukharov is dead, the mission is over. Ghost Lead reports the success to Overlord. The mission ends with a newscast cinematic detailing the capture of President Makhmudov and the death of Bukharov—the media reports the general was killed by his own security forces.
