All Titans have a shoulder-mounted missile pod. This is called Titan Ordnance. Make sure your choice of Titan Ordnance makes up for the limitations of your primary weapon. For instance, if you select a long-range Titan weapon, such as the Plasma Railgun, you’ll want a missile system that can be used against threats that get close, as well as Pilots.
Rocket Salvo
This Titan Ordnance pod rapidly fires a swarm of unguided rockets. It is ideal for wiping out clustered targets, and is useful in situations calling for direct, manually aimed fire.
This ordnance is best used when an enemy Titan isn’t looking or is in a narrow hallway where they can’t dodge the manual rockets. Be sure to fire this ordnance off first thing during a Titan vs. Titan fight. The battle should last long enough for you to get your second volley of missiles off if you shoot your ordnance immediately.
This Titan Ordnance pod requires a lock-on before you can fire. When you fire, a barrage of homing missiles will launch four at a time towards your target.
This is perfect for fighting Titans that are out in the open to get some guaranteed damage (unless they dash away, which is difficult). In clustered maps, like Colony, this ordnance is not effective since the enemy Titan can duck behind cover. With this ordnance, patience is key—don’t fire this off unless you know the rockets will hit.
The Cluster Missile pod fires a missile which, on impact, deploys a shower of secondary explosive charges that continue to explode and saturate an area for a considerable time.
This ordnance is great against enemy Titans and enemy Pilots because it leaves a secondary explosion of charges that explode over the general area where the Cluster Missile first made contact. These charges deal even more damage to the enemy Titan or can even kill a enemy Pilot. You’ll want to be at a close- to mid-range distance when firing this weapon at an enemy because it does not lock on. The missile can spiral around and miss your target if you aren’t close enough. Watch out for this splash damage as it can inflict damage to yourself.
The Multi-Target System enables you to engage multiple targets at once. Hold down the Ordnance Ability control and sweep your view over your target to paint them. Then release to fire the missiles at the painted targets.
The Multi-Target System can cause massive damage if you are able to paint and hit the enemy Titan with all your missiles. This ordnance requires you to engage enemy Titans in more open areas so they can’t use their surroundings to evade the lock-on. Don’t feel like you have to have every missile lock on, but be sure to always fire missiles before enemy Titans take cover. The Stryder Titan makes full use of this ordnance due to the Titan’s fast movements. The Stryder Titan will be able to move in and out of cover, allowing you to paint the enemy while evading incoming fire.
The Cluster Missile works great against those enemy Pilots who just hide from you in a building. The ordnance can be shot through a window or door of a building, causing the massive secondary explosion of charges and killing anything inside.
