Attrition

Tactics

  • An initial battle between both teams’ minions occurs in the Gorge and continues throughout the game. Pilots can position themselves on the Observatory to pick off a few of the minions. Equipping a long-range weapon will give you the opportunity to pick off an enemy Pilot near the Factory at the start.
  • From the Cannon Building, you can pick up minion kills from the center of the map. Keep an eye on the main bubble window of the Armory to pick off enemy Pilots doing the same.

  • A great jump to use off the start of the IMC spawn is to wall run off the Cannon Control Room. At the end of the wall, double jump towards the Factory, wall run once again, and then double jump towards the Delivery Building. This will aid in avoiding enemy snipers off the start of the match and is also a great jump to use throughout the match.
Pro Tip: StrongSide

Patrolling both the inside and rooftops of the Armory and Delivery Building will quickly increase your Attrition score. These buildings have many windows that allow me to hunt minions while changing directions constantly. I prefer to use the R-101C Carbine when doing this so I am able to fight in both short- and long-range fights.

  • The Turret is positioned away from most of the battles, but don’t turn a blind eye to it. Activate the Turret, and every kill it gets will count towards your score. The kills it gets can determine who wins the match.
Pro Tip: Walshy

The Gorge can be trouble for your Titan. Instead, use the area around the Observatory. This area will provide cover and let you kill enemy minions and Pilots gravitating to the Gorge. This area also lets you isolate enemy Titans, giving you the upper hand when fighting a Titan head on.

  • Equip the Triple Threat to your Titan and bombard your enemies. This weapon’s splash damage will make enemy Pilots think twice about just rushing your Titan in hopes of a rodeo attack.
