Tactics
- Runoff doesn’t have many routes to safetly run the flag back to your base on foot. Your best option is to jump aboard a friendly Titan and have the Titan dash you back to your teams base. If you absolutely cannot run the flag by jumping aboard a friednly Titan there is one great route on foot from each base that works well. Watch the two videos below to see each flag route for the IMC and Militia team.
- When running the Militia Flag route you’ll need to jump skip. Jump skipping is best used with Stim. Each time your Pilot is about to touch the ground press your jump button to keep your speed. This can been done many times until you have no where else to jump.
- The IMC and Militia flags are both placed in a close quarters building. Take advantage of this by placing a few Satchel Charges or Arc Mines near your flag. This tactic is great for defending your teams flag.
- As a Titan you can defend your flag base extremely well by patrolling around your flags building. You’re able to have a view at almost every exit of the building and stop an enemy Pilot running your flag dead in his tracks.
- Above the pipe leading toward the Filtration Systems is a small balcony which has a great overview of the IMC base to kill any incoming or outgoing enemy Pilots. Behind the red generators is a small cubby hole which is great to drop into for cover. Enemy Pilots on ground level will not be able to deal damage to you while you are positioned behind the red generators. The enemy Pilots will be forced to get a Titan or climb all the way up to kill you.
- As a Pilot avoid running in the open areas near Main Balcony and Main Sewer. There is consatnt traffic around these two areas so it’s best to have your Titan to make your way through Main Sewer or beneath Main Balcony. As a Pilot use the buildings and tunnels to safetly travel from one side of the map to the other but still be cautious of enemy Pilots taking these same routes.
- A great position to guard the Militia flag is on the rooftop of the Treatment Plant. Up here you’ll have an entire overview of the Militia side of the map and be able to call out the enemy’s position to your teammates. When taking enemy fire drop back and use the three red generators or the Treatment Plant Tower as cover and regain your shields. Keep the enemy guessing your position by peaking out at different positions on the roof.
