Pilot Hunter

Tactics

Pro Tip: Flamesword

Setting up in the Garage when your team has the lead is a great strategy to slowly take the victory. The Garage only has a few entrances, making it easy for a team to hold down and watch all of them. Be sure to communicate with each other to understand who is watching what and who needs help when the enemy team is charging.

  • Players will find that a lot of Pilot fighting happens around the Walkway near the Control Room. Equip Arc Mines for your Ordnance and plant these in the small room between the Walkway and Control Room. This allows you to watch the other direction and only react when you hear the mines go off or see hit markers when the mines do damage.
  • Hanging out around the V.T.O.L. area with a sniper is very effective. The sniper can pick off people who cross the Walkway and come out of the Hangar. This sniper can also check to the right to see if enemy Pilots are trying to flank from the Garage area.

  • A quick jump helps you get to the Walkway. When playing Attrition, this jump would be less effective because the opposing team would be out on the Walkway killing the minions outside of Drainage Control. Since Pilot Hunter requires you to kill Pilots, enemy Pilots won’t expose themselves on the Walkway, letting you sneak into the Control Room.
  • When you don’t have control of the Control Room, throw in Frag Grenades before assaulting the room. This will clear out anyone with a close-range weapon, and has the chance to explode any Arc Mines that might be waiting to kill you.

  • When fighting in Drainage Control, be aware of this escape route. It allows you to reach the top of the Garage quickly by taking the zip lines. Check your back to see if your opponent chases you on the zip line—this will be an easy kill for you.
