Tactics
- At the start of the match, the minions meet around the Supply Rations and around the QuickStop. You’ll want to rush this area or reach a higher vantage point that overlooks this area to pick off enemy Pilots killing your minions. Traveling through the buildings and shooting from the windows can also be great because it will make you blend in with your minions.
- Minions like to travel through buildings on this map, making you have to hunt for them—sometimes through a building. Staying inside a building can prove useful to pick off the enemies inside your building as well as to kill the enemies roaming the streets. Don’t get too greedy and expose yourself by running from building to building, however. Take your time and scan the perimeter before you make your move to another location.
- As a Titan, you’ll be able to take advantage of your dash to dash through the streets of the Colony and crush all the minions roaming the streets. This allows you to save your ammo for a Titan battle or to pick off an enemy Pilot running on the rooftops.
- The rooftops are incredibly useful on this map, but stay on the rooftops around the perimeter of the Colony to have an overview of all the rooftops in the center of the map. When you stay back on a roof around the perimeter of the Colony, attach a sniper rifle with the AOG scope to easily take down enemies in the distance.
Pro Tip: StrongSide There are many balconies and windows throughout the buildings of the map. Be sure to become comfortable with all the little jumps that take you from the open streets to inside the buildings with cover. When near the Town Hall, double jump up to begin wall running—you will want to hit your double jump at the peak of your first jump. From here, wall run off the Town Hall and then jump into the Blackwell Store. Simple jumps like this allow you to escape many situations. |
- A loadout with Frag Grenades for an Ordnance and Explosives Pack as your Tier 1 Kit will come in handy. Move throughout the buildings and try to get behind enemy Pilots. Time your grenade so that once you throw it towards the enemy, it will explode immediately instead of warning the enemy Pilot to escape.
