Titanfall eGuide Maps Colony

Hardpoint Domination

Pro Tip: Walshy

Since Titans completely run this map for this game mode, as a Pilot you’ll want to play stealthy when capturing a hardpoint. Use Cloak to sneak around the map and get behind the enemy or take a longer route around the perimeter of the map.

Tactics

  • All the hardpoints on this map cannot be captured by Titans, but a Titan can have a view into every hardpoint to kill any enemies attempting to capture any of the points. The hardpoint locations on this map are all on upper-level floors with windows. These windows allow a Titan to look in and kill enemy Pilots. Equip the Cluster Missile as this will come in handy to shoot into the buildings through the windows and the secondary explosions are sure to kill any enemies inside near the hardpoint. With all this said, tread carefully if you are inside a building and an enemy Titan is near. You’ll most likely want to move to another location for cover.
Pro Tip: StrongSide

With all three hardpoints in such small areas, Arc Mines are going to be your best friend. Place Arc Mines near a stairway or window to kill or stun an enemy Pilot. Remember, to kill an enemy Pilot with an Arc Mine, you need to place two Arc Mines near each other so that they both deal damage to the enemy Pilot.

Pro Tip: Flamesword

Hardpoint A is difficult to capture when enemies are around due to all the open windows. Make the enemy look for you by wall hanging in the corner of the building. The wall will cover you and allow you to see when the enemy is coming across. Once you see them, jump off and aim in to take them out. Then go back to capturing once the area is clear.

  • When moving in for Hardpoint B, head to the staircase corner to capture the hardpoint. At this position you are hidden and cannot be seen through the windows. If you crouch while in the corner, your Pilot will be hidden even more. Before going into the corner of the staircase, move into the capture radius for a second and then move into the staircase corner to keep capturing. If you move in the staircase corner first, you will not initiate a capture on Hardpoint B.
  • Taking control of Hardpoint C should feel easier then the other two. A Pilot should only need to focus on the front two windows that let you overlook The Fall Bar. The back window shouldn’t see any action since it would require an enemy Pilot to take a long flank. By the time an enemy Pilot could do that, you will have already captured the objective.
  • As a Pilot, be sure to equip Arc Grenades and the Explosives Pack to give you three Arc Grenades. Use these grenades against enemy Titans outside the building of the hardpoint you are capturing. Once you’ve captured the hardpoint, move to the lower level and make the enemy Pilot exit the Titan to attack you. Active Radar Pulse comes in great use on this game mode since you’ll be inside a building capturing hardpoints most of the game.
