Titanfall eGuide Maps Overlook

Hardpoint Domination

Tactics

  • Hardpoint A is isolated inside the Lair and has many entrances from ground and roof level. A Titan can shoot into the Hardpoint, but cannot enter it. Equipping a Cluster Missile to your Titan makes defending this objective a lot easier.
  • Capture Hardpoints without revealing your position. East of Hardpoint B is a vent that blows a little bit of smoke. This helps hide you from enemies and lets you look at the two possible areas enemies can attack you.
Pro Tip: StrongSide

A manned Titan can capture a Hardpoint even when enemy Pilots are contesting the Hardpoint. The manned Titan will always trump over enemy Pilots no matter the number as long as there isn’t an enemy Titan in the Hardpoint control area. Hardpoint C is completely accessible by a Titan. A Titan can freely move in and out of this area. You can really take advantage of this feature in Hardpoint C.

  • All three Hardpoints are a distance away from each other. The two Hardpoints that benefit you the most will be Hardpoints A and C. Both of these objectives allow Titan support, making it difficult for the other team to capture.
  • If you do have control of Hardpoints B and C, be aware of the zip lines from the top of Garage that lead towards the V.T.O.L. right outside of Drainage Control. These allow you to travel quickly between the points to better defend them.
  • The Catwalk is a great median between Hardpoints A and C. A Pilot can easily patrol this area and pick up kills in both the Hangar and out in the open near Drainage Control.
