Tactics
- Pilots will want to control the rooftops throughout the entire game. The height advantage provides better lines of sight and cover when ground enemies shoot at you.
- A sniper positioned at the top of the Zip-line Tower can communicate the position of enemy Pilots. Even though you may be an easy target, there are many zip lines to take to escape. Once you feel it is safe, just zip back up and keep annoying the enemy.
- Early in the start of the game, enemy Pilots will go for the minions that gravitate to the center of the map. A Pilot can either flank the enemy here or sit back from a distance and pick off the minions with a sniper rifle to reduce build time.
- Fighting around turrets provides great cover. A Pilot can successfully pressure enemies and then retreat behind the turret to recover health. While you are recovering health, if you notice your turret shooting in the direction of the enemy, be prepared—that enemy might be charging you or stuck behind cover. Using Stim as your Tactical Ability also allows you to recover your health quicker once you get cover behind a structure. Then if you need to charge or run away, you have a speed boost for a short moment.
- Running around with the Tactical Ability Cloak and a shotgun as your primary weapon will help you rack up kills while moving and sneaking around the map. You usually want to take advantage of your Pilot’s movement by wall jumping and running, but this map has many buildings that are connected to one another. Run into these while you wait for your Cloak to recharge. Enemies who chase after you will lose in close quarters because of your shotgun.
Pro Tip: Walshy Activate a turret and place Arc Mines around the turret’s control panel. Enemy Pilots will make their way to the turret at some point and try to hack the turret. This will be an easy free kill. |
