Titanfall eGuide Maps Overlook

Capture the Flag

Tactics

  • Both flags are inside structures: one in the Drainage Control area and the other in the Lair. In both cases there are multiple entrances to these areas, making it difficult to wait inside and defend. Instead, hang around the many catwalks surrounding the area to cut off enemies before they enter one of the many entrances.
  • Because of how narrow the center of this map is, Titans aren’t the most effective way to run flags unless your team has more than the other team. Wall running and jumping are your best course of action.

When grabbing the flag inside of the Lair, be sure to use this flag route. The flag route combines a few walls to jump off so be sure to get it down as it can lead to an easy capture.

  • Gain control of the Walkway when trying to capture the flag inside of the Drainage Control. The Walkway is the perfect middle location between both flags. A player here can suppress enemies that try to come out of the V.T.O.L.
  • It is smart to run the flag through the Street when grabbing the flag in Drainage Control. If you get taken out, the flag will be left in the wide open. Allied players will be able to kill enemy Pilots blindly running for the return. If you evade death, use these jumps to easily make it back to your base with the flag.

A great route to flank and run a flag from either base is by chaining all three zip lines together. Both sides can take advantage of this, so don’t miss out. The zip lines allow you to avoid the crazy action occurring between the Street and the Hangar.
