Capture the Flag

Tactics

  • The Factory is the initial location for one of the flags. A Pilot can equip a sniper rifle of their choice and head to the rooftop of the Factory to snipe for the entire round and defend the base.
  • To become the most versatile defender, the R-101C Carbine will be your best bet. Your Pilot will be able to pick off enemies at a distance and rain fire through the windows on top of the Factory to stop enemy Pilots.
  • The other flag is positioned inside the Observatory and is much more exposed with the amount of entrances the building has. There are two openings from above, two windows, and a staircase from the bottom of the Observatory to the flag. Players should scatter Arc Mines around the flag to stop enemies in their tracks.
Pro Tip: Walshy

When running the flag from the Observatory, be sure that Stim is picked for your Tactical Ability. Grab the flag and then immediately jump to the roof. Activate your Stim and jump all the way across into the Armory—Stim is essential to make this jump. You will want to make it inside so you have more cover, so either continue running through the Armory or jump through the breakable glass above it and go around the Bridge area, which provides more cover at the expense of a longer run.

  • A Pilot positioned inside the Cannon Control Room can do serious damage the entire match. This Pilot can shoot through the various windows throughout the Cannon Control Room or head to the upper levels to get better angles. This Pilot can also take out enemy Pilots pursing your teammate with the flag.

Escaping with the flag inside the Factory can be tricky, but use a few wall runs and zip lines to outwit your opponent. Grab the flag and immediately head up the stairs to the upper catwalks. From here, jump onto the wall to the right and make it to the rooftop of the Factory. Across is a zip line that brings you to the Cannon Control Room. This will confuse the other team because it seems like you are going in the wrong direction to capture the flag. Quickly take the next zip line to your right that leads to the top of the Armory. The opponents will be spinning their heads because of the fast movements used. Check your corners and make your way back to your base with the flag.

Pro Tip: Flamesword

Many fights occur inside the Delivery Building because that is the midpoint between both flags. Use this jump when jumping out of the bubble window to get to the roof quickly. Jump out the window and then hold back for your double jump. You will land directly above the bubble window. This can be used to evade pursuers as well.

  • A Titan can’t directly grab a flag from either base because of where the flag is positioned at the base, but they can be close by to escort a flag carrier back to home base by giving the friendly Pilot a ride on their Titan. The best Titan flag route when grabbing the flag from the Factory is to dash towards the Turret and go through the Cannon Building. Finally make your way to the Observatory.
  • Having a Titan sit back and defend your flag base will be crucial. This map is so small that if the enemy gets your flag with a Titan, they are almost sure to get back to their base for a capture. If you have a Titan covering your base, you’ll be able to deal some damage to the enemy Titan before the Titan grabs your flag. This will slow the enemy Titan down and possibly make the enemy Titan retreat.
