Tactics
- When controlling Hardpoint B, guard the front entrance of the Temple with a Titan. Keep your view patrolling from the Arch, Science Lab, and Caves, because these are the only ways for the enemy to reach the Temple.
- Inside the Temple is a close-quarter area, so guarding it with a shotgun and Arc Mines will be extremely useful. There are only three entrances to Hardpoint B, so you can place two Arc Mines around one doorway and the third around a second doorway. This allows you to watch the third doorway as the Arc Mines will kill or alert you if an enemy Pilot is nearby.
- Inside Hardpoint B you’ll see a light fixture in the corner of the room. If you stand behind this light, it is extremely hard for enemy Pilots to notice you because they are being blinded by the light that allows you to blend in with the wall. I like to use this position behind the light a few times to kill enemy Pilots and then move to another corner within Hardpoint B, since enemy Pilots are sure to catch on to this little trick.
Pro Tip: StrongSide Inside Hardpoint C you’ll find a upper ceiling above a dry erase board and a generator. While wall hanging in the upper ceiling, you are still able to capture the hardpoint. If you’re going to use this position, equip the Enhanced Parkour Kit, which allows you to wall hang for a much longer duration. While wall hanging, you’re able to see enemies run by below—but do not get trigger happy and shoot them while you are on the ceiling. Drop down and kill them and they will be clueless to where you came from. This will allow you to keep using this position throughout the game, never letting the enemy know your position. |
- Hardpoint C can be accessed by a Titan through the big opening in the back of the Bungalows, and a Titan can capture the hardpoint while in this open area. So if you are guarding at this point as a Pilot, you’ll want to equip Arc Grenades to stun the enemy Titan trying to capture Hardpoint C. While the enemy Titan is stunned, use your Anti-Titan weapon to deal massive damage to the enemy Titan, which will force the enemy Titan to retreat.
- This will be a great position to capture the Hardpoint A, since there are only two entrances to this area and this area cannot be seen by a Titan. You can place Arc Mines around the doorways, so if any enemy enters, the mines will stun or kill the enemy Pilot and allow you to hold down Hardpoint A. Equipping a shotgun or SMG while defending Hardpoint A is a must due to its extremely close-quarter area.
- With a Titan on this map, you’ll want to focus on Hardpoints A and C. At Hardpoint A, as a Titan you can shoot through many of the windows with the XO-16 Chaingun to kill enemy Pilots inside. At Hardpoint C, you’re able to get inside the Bungalows and disrupt the enemy capture.
Pro Tip: StrongSide While playing as a Titan and attacking Hardpoint A, equip the Cluster Missile so you can shoot into the only stairway—you can’t shoot enemy Pilots while they are inside. Shoot the Cluster Missile inside this stairwell and the after effects of the explosion are sure to kill anything inside. |
