What You Can Find Here
The sewers run beneath the city streets, and you gain access through the open manhole cover in front of the South Park Gazette building. Look for the “Men Working” sign and descend the metal ladder.
To proceed deeper into the sewers, you need the alien probe. Beam across the gap to the far side, where the sewers maze really begins. Along the way, search any loot spots (duffel bags, yellow-marked grates, etc.) for bonus items. The duffel bag near the entrance, for example, holds the Valkyrie Patch.
Go down the ladder and decrease the sewer flow at the first pipe so you can run through it unscathed. Wrap around the wall to the other side and open the bars to reach the Hankeys’ house. Pick up the Chinpokomon Gerbitoad in front of the house and speak with the delightful Mr. and Mrs. Hankey to receive the “Dropping the Kids Off” side quest. Complete the side quest to gain all the Hankeys as friends; you’ll also come back to the sewers to slay the Penis Mouse and Bloodsucking Fruit Bat for the “Big Game Huntin’ with Jimbo” side quest. See the “Side Quests” chapter for more details.
Wander to the back of the sewer maze to eventually reach the cave systems. Use your Nagasaki power to shake loose the giant boulder in the caves. You can pick up the Biebersaurus Chinpokomon on the floor next to the Crab Person, who befriends you for shattering the only obstacle between the Crab People and their conquest of Earth. Nice job, chief. The ladder at the far end of the caves leads up to the manhole cover in front of the Bijou Theatre. It’s a nice shortcut if you’re heading in that direction; however, it’s a one-way path out of the sewers.
