Head over to the Community Center if you’re looking for the “Wasted Cache” side quest.
Inside you’ll find Mr. Mackey snoozing at the fundraising table. Wake him up and he asks you to deposit a Monochrome Monitor in his storage locker at U-Stor-It. You see, he doesn’t have a hoarding problem; he just throws away things in the same place.
Take the Monochrome Monitor to storage unit 221 at U-Stor-It. If you haven’t opened the gate yet, climb up the ramp by the vagrant merchant and shoot down the ladder on the billboard to gain access into the U-Stor-It facility.
Mackey’s storage unit is a huge, huge mess. Piles and piles of junk fill the space, though there are two items you might want to grab: a Chinpokomon and a green duffel bag. Shoot Ferasnarf out of its red bin on the top shelf and have it land down on a wooden plank. Chop away at junk until you can climb the ramp and pick up the Chinpokomon. Use your alien probe to zip over to the far side and open the green duffel bag for Wings Facepaint, Health Potion (Large), and Mackey’s PO Box Key. You can then use the key to gain more loot back at the Post Office.
Place the Monochrome Monitor on the lowest shelf to the left of the storage unit door. Return to the Community Center.
Speak with Mr. Mackey. He thanks you for throwing his latest piece of junk away and decides you’re not such a bad kid after all. You’ve gained another social networking friend; lucky you.
