What You Can Find Here
U-Stor-It is a storage ground for miscellaneous quests and hidden items. Be sure to tag the Fast Travel Flag in front so you can return here easily and often.
The hobo vagrant outside is actually a street merchant. Talk to him for some interesting items, especially when you’re on the “Nonconformist” quest and need the three Goth quest items.
Step up the boxes outside the back of the U-Stor-It truck to get inside. The Drunken Hobo and his Rabid Rats will attack you; get through them and you can unlock the toolbox for Yellow Orange Dye and some junk items.
To get past the closed gate, take the ramp up to the top of the garbage bin. Shoot the ladder on the billboard platform and it will release. Climb up the ladder, cross in front of the billboard, and climb down the second ladder to reach the U-Stor-It inner courtyard.
Head to the left and into the U-Stor-It office. Press the green “Unlock” button on the desk. This retracts the main gate so you can easily go in and out from now on.
Walk around to the back of the storage area. Storage locker 204 is Al Gore’s, locker 221 is Mackey’s, and locker 223 is the Chaos Lair.
Near the end of the “ManBearPig” side quest you’ll gain Al Gore’s Storage Key and can enter his locker site for the final confrontation.
You gain Mr. Mackey’s key during the “Wasted Cache” side quest, which begins in the Community Center (map point 34). Use the key to open his storage area. Fire up at the Chinpokomon in the red bin on the top shelf and knock it down to the wooden planks. Chop away at the crap in the locker area until you can safely climb up the wooden ramps and reach Ferasnarf.
Use your alien probe to teleport over to the far right wooden plank. Open the duffel bag for the Wings Facepaint, Health Potion (Large), and Mackey’s PO Box Key. You can take Mackey’s PO Box Key to the Post Office (map point 21) and open the box for some personal belongings and a Small Battery.
Using the Chaos Lair Key from Butters’ bedroom, enter the Chaos Lair for the greatest source of loot in the storage areas. After the lights come on, walk over and smash the cardboard box to gain access to the rest of the lair. Speak with General Disarray to gain another friend, though he will only befriend you if you’re already friends with Dougie, who’s outside Butters’ house (map point 43). Search the duffel bag in the corner for cash, some junk items, and Butters’ Squirrel Nose, and open the refrigerator for a Speed Potion and some other minor items.
Climb the ladder past the fridge and shoot down the Chinpokomon atop the air duct. Nab Roo-Stor and enter the air duct. Climb the ladder up to the roof.
Head left on the roof and open the duffel bag for Indigo Dye, Cash ($3), and the Red Cross Badge.
Head right on the roof and use your alien probe to access the robotic teleporter on the telephone pole. Beam down to the nearby roof and open the treasure chest for the Squire Helmet and a Power Potion.
