Downtown, Old Factory District, Little Tokyo, Harbor
Prerequisites: Complete “Help A Hobo,” “Oxfords’ Lost and Found,” “To Build a Better Cat Trap,” “Hardcore!” and “La Venganza”
This Quests-within-Quests Quest is available only if you’ve completed four particular other Quests, each in a different district and Act. Once you’ve done that, you can find the Quest icon saleswoman in the northwest part of Downtown. When you need a Quest icon rotating above your head so people know where to go for a task and some sweet loot afterward, she’s your go-to gal. But there are icons out there in the wild attached to Quests that are complete, so those people don’t need them anymore. This woman wants you to go get those icons.
First up is Reginald the hobo, from “Help a Hobo.” You’ll find him on the same dock you left him at in Old Factory District, living the easy life in hobo heaven. He doesn’t have the icon anymore; he gave it to some teddy bear-obsessed dude. That doesn’t happen to sound like Floyd, does it?
Check with Floyd at Kickass Brewing Co. and you’ll find that he still has Reggie’s icon. Floyd had been planning to try making an Amp out of the icon, but since you already have a Quest that requires it, he’ll cough it up.
Next up, you’ll want to consult the Oxfords. Head to Sasquatch and Friends and enter, asking among the students if anyone has a spare icon. One Oxford will reveal he tossed the old thing out. Happily, he just means the dumpster out back. Exit the pizzeria and check the alley in the back to find the icon by the dumpster.
Next up, you’ll naturally want to check with Troop Bushido at the museum in Little Tokyo. Consulting a troop in the main camp reveals that they placed the spare icon in one of the museum’s anti-OD traps, for reasons that probably shouldn’t be pondered for too long. Head to the trap garden on the grounds and simply snag the icon out of the jaws of the trap to retrieve it.
Next up, there will be no better place in all of Sunset City to ask about Quest icons than Fargarthia, home of the city’s most useful LARPers. Check with Hardcore and it will become apparent that, while the icon is still technically here, Hardcore sort of broke it into five shards. Well, let the icon salesperson sort that out; collect the five shards from just inside House Fargarthia’s castle and be off.
The last icon was with Las Catrinas. When you check with one of them, you’ll find that they won’t lift a finger if it doesn’t somehow help the children. You can have the icon, but only if you first use the icon to go door to door Downtown canvassing for donations to the kids.
The five doors for donations (one of which is actually an air vent) are all residences just slightly southwest of the hospital, so you won’t have to travel far. Simply go door to door with the Quest icon spinning delectably above your head and the residents won’t be able to resist you. When five donations are collected and Las Catrinas are appeased, it’s time to return to the Quest icon saleswoman to return the icons and receive your reward.
