Sunset Overdrive Official Strategy Guide Quests ACT 2

Collect Even More Comics!

Little TokyoPrerequisites: Complete “Collect More Comics

As with the other comic-related Quests, start this one at Golden Age Comics. Stanley dubs you the Comic Knight and offers leads on more comics to track down. As Comic Knight, you’re trusted to liberate comics from the unworthy and return them to deserving owners like Stan, naturally. At first, there are a few comic-related hotspots in west Little Tokyo. Once you acquire comics at these locations, more leads will be revealed in the rest of Little Tokyo. The initial grouping is presented on the map here in a clockwise rotation, but you can tackle the first four spots in any order.

At the first location on the map, there are two comics very close together. One is being carried by a Herker on a catwalk in this area; engage the beast and the OD around it to take the mint issue away. You’ll have to kill the Herker to get it. Once the OD are cleared out and the first comic is in hand, check the small tower topped by a holographic globe nearby. You can vault repeatedly all the way up this tower, and a comic is stashed away precariously on the end of one of the rays jutting out from the hologram. Jump or grind out over the edge to snag the issue.

Another comic issue can be found atop a circular tank directly south of the first pair. Vault to the top and grind the circumference to find the comic near a picnic setting and a heck of a view. There’s a pair of binoculars up here, so be sure to give them a gaze to score a High Point collectible. There are no signs of whoever set the scene and left the comic.

You’ll find a huge contingent of OD roaming this road. Begin engaging them, and you’ll attract the attention of more OD who crawl up from the sewers through manhole covers and into the fray. After you’ve decimated some of the subterranean reinforcements, an OD will emerge carrying a comic book. Kill that OD and take the comic for Stanley. Finish off the rest of the OD at your discretion, or head to the next comic lead.

Two Blowers guard a comic atop the tower in west Little Tokyo. One of them is carrying it, so you’ll have to kill them to grab it. The building itself is also covered with OD on the climb. At this point, you should not be surprised to occasionally run into Scab or Fizzco patrols at the same time. Regardless of what else you equip, it’s good to keep a fire-centric gun on the weapon wheel for OD, and a lightning-centric gun for Fizzbots. You don’t have to plan as specifically for Scabs; us poor, regular humans are just fairly squishy.

Here’s another comic hidden in a sturdy crate. Scabs are entrenched in this area, so be ready to fight Rushers and Shooters. Bust open the crates in the loading bay at street level to find the comic book, along with a fair amount of Cash.

This comic isn’t hidden on the ground in a dock or on the roof. It’s in between, tucked away on the support strut for a sign that juts out from the building. Wall run in from the side then wall jump and vault on top of the strut to collect the prize.

This area of the city, in far east Little Tokyo toward the Harbor district, sees heavy traffic by all three enemy types. The area where this comic is located can be covered by Scabs or OD. As in a couple other places, the comic here is secreted away inside white crates. Wade through the enemy forces in the area and bash open the crates to find the book.

The beautiful, stepped apartments to the south are now home to some Blowers and other assorted OD. One of the Blowers has the comic in this area. Bounce across the awnings here to find and eliminate the Blower and take the comic. By now, with most of the comics collected, the final comic book’s location in central Little Tokyo is revealed.

Once you’ve collected most of Stanley’s other comic requests throughout the district, the final comic’s location up high in central Little Tokyo is revealed. It’s simply left there, in the middle of a skylight rooftop with no threats around. That kind of atmosphere seldom lasts in this city. With the last comic in hand, Fizzco Blade Bots drop in to attack. Once you’ve dealt with them (or just run away), you’re free to return to Stanley at Golden Age Comics for the Quest’s reward. You’ll score an Achievement, a lot of Overcharge, and access to the full superhero outfit!
