Sunset Overdrive Official Strategy Guide Missions ACT 2

2-1: Big Trouble in Little Tokyo

Little Tokyo

The glider worked, but the results didn’t pan out as expected. There’s not much of a plan while survivors regroup; Floyd suggests you seek out someone named Bryllcream, a survivalist Walter had heard broadcasting via ham radio from the Japanese Heritage Museum. The museum is located in eastern Little Tokyo, further than you’ve had reason to travel before. Deeper into the heart of the city, you’re more and more likely to run into Fizzco patrols as well as increasingly dense thickets of OD.

You’ll find definite signs of occupation at the museum, elaborate traps along the perimeter, and tents neatly pitched in the yard, but no one around. Check the front entrance and you’ll find it locked. Vault to upper levels and look for a way in from the roof.

You won’t find this Bryllcream person inside, but you will find Troop Bushido and their leader, Emperor Norton. He runs a tight ship, as evidenced by his banishment of one of his soldiers, 4Kim, for the crime of a mild smirk. He isn’t going to cough up any information about Bryllcream without putting you to work. Simply getting into the museum and meeting Norton and the troop completes this brief Mission, which opens access to several tasks in Little Tokyo, as well as some guns in Two Hat Jack’s catalogue.

Find Troop Bushido in the museum and you’ll unlock a passel of tasks in the new (or new-ish) district. There are two Quests, “To Build a Better Cat Trap” and the three-part “Collect Some Comics” chain. Three Challenges are also revealed: Bomb Delivery #4, Challenge: Smash TVs, and Traversal Challenge #6.
