Little Tokyo, Old Factory DistrictPrerequisites: Complete “Find 4Kim”
This Quest kicks off with a rather conspicuous note taped to the phone booth at Hepcat’s Diner. If you want to know the truth about Overcharge, it says, head to Little Tokyo’s dog park. That’s the first destination on this beginning of a search for the truth.
You’ll find another phone booth in the dog park, where you’ll receive a phone call from the mole. This mole reveals that several top-secret memos from high-level Fizzco employees can be found in recycling trucks around the city. The first recycling truck can be found on south bridge between Little Tokyo and Old Factory District.
The recycling truck on south bridge is overturned on top of the bridge on the Little Tokyo side. When you arrive, you’ll find it under the possession of some Scab Rushers. Much of the bridge has become a makeshift Scab camp, in fact. When you clear the Scabs and check the truck, it enters a lockdown mode and alerts Fizzco security! They’re serious about defending municipal property. Swap to your favorite anti-robot weapon and blast the Fizzco Blade Bots away. Once they’re gone, the truck’s lockdown lifts and you can take the first of three secret memos. Let this be a lesson, Fizzco execs: always shred documents.
With the first truck searched, you’ll receive the next location. There’s another overturned recycling truck in a service alley in Old Factory District. More Scabs control this area, and you’ll be unsurprised to hear that this truck will also go into lockdown and summon Fizzco agents when you attempt to open it. There are plenty of trucks and cars in this alley to bounce off of repeatedly while wiping out the Scabs and Fizzbot attackers here. When they’re all gone, this truck will unlock and you can get the second set of secret memos.
The third and final recycling truck is positioned precariously on the edge of a broken section of raised highway. Attempting to search it from here actually sends the truck plummeting down into the parking lot below, with Fizzco agents dropping in too. The parking lot below is overrun with all kinds of OD, including ranged-capable Blowers and Gunkers. With dozens of OD in the area aside from the Fizzco Blade Bots sent to protect the truck, you should feel free to cut loose. Explosives like TNTeddy and Hairspray Bomb can kill many enemies at once and deployables can do your work for you given some time. The weapon wheel allows such quick swapping of weapons that it doesn’t even have to be a choice; you can pop off rounds from one weapon, then quickly switch to another and begin firing, even mid-jump.
With all three sets of secret documents in hand, your next course is to make the dead drop in a dumpster nearby. It’s in an alley just off the main road if you simply follow its north curve. You’ll see a very clean, spy-like car in the alley nearby. Make the document drop and you’ll complete the Quest, which marks the beginning of your espionage with this Fizzco mole; if you complete this Quest, you’ll have another assignment a few Missions later.
