Chaos Squad is competitive but cooperative. You’re working together with your crew to achieve each mission’s goals, but you also want to get the highest score.
Each mission has relatively straightforward objectives, as well as two bonus challenges. Each district in Sunset City has its own set of possible missions in Chaos Squad. Each mission, if you succeed, gives you a passive bonus for the final night defense battle, such as a percentage-based damage multiplier against certain types of OD or some extra Power to put towards Traps, and a percentage-based bonus to the Chaos level. You have to gauge the Chaos increase vs. the value of the bonus and react accordingly.
A big part of Chaos Squad is managing your Chaos level. The final amount you have going into the last night defense mission represents a health multiplier that’s given to all OD on the map, making them tougher to kill. The same value is granted to your final score if and when you succeed on the last level, so it’s a balancing act.
