Little Tokyo
With the revelation that Bryllcream is somewhere in one of the city’s automated garbage trucks, Sam has been working to find some way to detect which one he’s in. He has an analog hacker for you to pick up near Hepcat’s. From there, you’ll have to travel to satellite dishes in order to triangulate Bryllcream’s position. You aim a parabolic receiver and point around the city and try to home in on a signal. You’ll see the needle twitch upward when you’re close, and it’ll spike into the red when you’re on-target.
The first satellite dish is above the strangely-named Wallrun, Hackdish and Associates’ Tower, just northwest of Hepcat’s Diner. At the base of this tower, you’ll find a Fizzco guard post; decimate the Bots and the turret here with electric weapons, then proceed up the tower. Although you’ve been capable of pole swinging and wall running for almost the entire game, they’ll be explicitly highlighted here: traversing from balcony to balcony on this building requires deft swinging, wall running, and wall cornering. Arrive at the top and, in addition to a Fizzie Balloon and some strange graffiti, you’ll find the satellite dish’s control console. Interact with it to begin the hack process.
After cycling through several signals that provide no information on the search, you’ll find the telltale beeping of the garbage truck you’re after. Unfortunately, Fizzco has tracked your attempts, and is now disrupting transmissions with a mobile jamming unit on an aircraft! Before you can get back to hacking satellite dishes, you must track down and destroy that jammer. The craft ends up landing atop a tower to the east; the Bots on the roof have offloaded the jammer and are attending to it. Destroy the jammer (and the Bots, why not?) so you can hack the next satellite dish. Conveniently, it’s atop a nearby tower.
The next satellite dish is just to the south. There is no Fizzco patrol here, but there is more wall running reinforcement in the form of more strange graffiti. Wall run and corner up the building and hack the second dish. You’ll have to sort through several useless signals again before you stumble upon Bryllcream’s signal again.
Bryllcream’s garbage truck ends up parked atop a parking structure in south Little Tokyo. Scabs have set up an encampment here and are guarding Bryllcream. First things first, clear out the Scabs around the garbage truck so you can safely recover Troop Bushido’s real leader.
Bryllcream is hesitant to leave the confines of the garbage truck, but he quickly loses his skepticism once faraway Scabs launch explosives that set the truck on fire. You’ll need to douse the flames, and the only liquid at hand is Overcharge. Hurry around the parking garage and grab kegs of Overcharge, then toss them into the garbage truck. The bursts of Overcharge will douse the flames, but will also attract throngs of ravenous OD. After you splash several kegs onto the truck, you’ll have to hold off the OD.
Before you can clear the OD out though, something nudges the garbage truck free and it begins careening wildly down the parking structure! Hurry to keep up with the garbage truck, which will eventually bash down into the street and begin rolling away. Grind to keep up, or simply stand atop the truck and ride it to wherever it goes. When the truck finally comes to rest, kill all the OD that have been riled up. With them gone, you can finally open up the garbage truck and see this master leader and survivalist in the flesh.
