Little TokyoPrerequisites: Complete “Collect Some Comics”
Stanley has been thinking about ethics. If the apocalypse has killed most of the people in the city, so they won’t be missing their stuff, then why should their comics just sit there, unloved? Stanley has leads on five dead people who had some truly choice back issues. These comics can be collected in any order, but they’re listed here in order heading from east to west.
The closest location to Golden Age Comics already reveals some flaws in Stanley’s research. Some of these comic enthusiasts aren’t dead, they’re Scabs! So maybe now this is sometimes looting rather than scavenging. Since they’re Scabs, it’s OK.
This comic is pretty well hidden. You’ll find it in a lower-level loading dock, squirreled away in some secure crates. They’re not secure from melee attacks or dive bomb smashes, so bash open the crates to reveal the comic within. The careful storage is evident in the comic’s excellent condition; Stanley practically salivates thinking about the fresh-comic scent.
This comic is one of the simpler ones to find. It’s simply on the top of this building, guarded by a couple Blowers. Climb up to the top and claim it before moving on to other comics at large.
This one is found at a site with a heavy Scab presence. When you arrive at the indicated area, at first you won’t see anything but Scab guards. If you kill a few of them, the Scab who has the comic emerges from a service door. Kill him to claim the prize for Stan. Stan is concerned that its condition indicates heavy use, but he hopes to replace it with a crisper copy once this is all over.
The final comic is found by someone’s remains on a float out over the water. This comic enthusiast must have come out here to be alone with his comics in the disaster. Perhaps to hide his affection for comics from his mother, Stanley wonders.
