The final battle is at hand. Using the Angel and Demon Keys, the Pale Rider is at last able to open the Tree of Death’s door and enter the Well of Souls. It is here that the root of Corruption may finally be ripped out of existence... but only with great sacrifice.

Final Boss: Avatar of Chaos

The unbridled rage of this twisted Nephilim has manifested itself into the nefarious Corruption that threatens to destroy the realms. Death must defeat his fallen brother in order to save humanity and clear the name of his embattled brother, War.

Avatar of Chaos wields a massive axe, and the wide arc of his blows makes evading a challenge. Instead, go on the offensive and assault the wicked Nephilim with your most vicious skills and combos.

It’s not long before Avatar of Chaos drops down to one knee. Advance and pile on the damage until the Action button prompt appears over the Nephilim’s head, and then press the Action button to attempt a kill-shot that goes awry.

Phase II

The battle changes after Death’s failed attempt to finish off Avatar of Chaos. Now, the monster becomes covered in thick tendrils of Corruption and lashes out with furious spinning blows that are quite difficult to dodge. Do your best to evade these rhythmic strikes, but remain offensive and unleash Death’s best moves to bring Avatar of Chaos to one knee a second time. Again, press the Action button to attempt another fatal blow.

Phase III

Death’s second attempt at finishing off Avatar of Chaos doesn’t do the trick, but it does weaken the fiend, banishing his protective vest of Corruption. During this final phase, Avatar of Chaos will periodically slam the ground and send out sinister pockets of Corruption that can ensnare the Reaper, leaving him temporarily helpless. Try to avoid these roaming traps, for Avatar of Chaos will inflict massive damage if he’s able to catch Death and capitalize on his advantage. Simply evade until he stops casting out the snares, and rapidly press the Action button to break free if you’re caught.

Strive to evade Avatar of Chaos’s attacks during this final phase, for his combos can be excruciating. Counter with violent skills and punishing attacks at every opportunity. Pressure the wretched Nephilim until the source of Corruption is at last rooted out.

The Journey Ends

Having slain his greatest adversary, The Reaper has at last succeeded in wiping Corruption from existence. Now, he faces a difficult choice. Should he restore his fallen brethren, the Nephilim? Or should he undo the ravaging of humanity, thereby clearing his brother War’s name? The choice is far from easy, for choosing to save one race will forever damn the other. Deep within his soul, the Pale Rider knows what he must do...
