Baneswood

This dense forest lies to the east of the Stonefather’s Vale, and is wide enough for Death to explore with Despair. Beware the Construct Warriors that patrol this ancient wood.

Northwest Ruin

Veer left as you enter Balewood and dispatch the dangerous Construct Warriors that lurk near the wood’s northwest ruin. You can fight the Constructs from horseback, or you can dismount and battle them on foot.

After clearing out the Constructs, enter the nearby ruin and run up the interior wall, vaulting off a peg to reach a hand hold. Climb up to discover a hidden chest with random loot.

Southwest Ledge

Travel south from the northwest ruin and fight your way up a grassy rise. Spy a Boatman Coin hovering on high and leap from the ledge to snatch it from midair.

Central Ruin

Next, head for the small decrepit shrine near the center of the wood. Open the chest you discover here for more random plunder.

East Ruin

A statue of a Maker stands in the midst of Baneswood’s east ruin. Search behind the statue to discover a Book of the Dead page. This is all you can claim from this forgotten site at present, as a special item is needed to traverse its upper ledges.

Northeast Ruin

Another ruin lies at the wood’s northeast corner. Enter the front door and smash the junk upstairs to discover a Boatman Coin and a chest. You can’t interact with the curious lump of glowing stones here, and there’s little else to accomplish. Head back outside.
