Boss Battle: The Soul Arbiter

On the eleventh level of this twisted labyrinth, the Rider arrives at an ancient arena. Here, the Arbiter himself will attempt to test Death's mettle.

Beware of the Soul Arbiter's spped, as he will attempt to deliver furious combo attacks that can make short work of the Rider. Wait for his attacks, then evade and quickly counter with a combo of your own.

When unleashing Death's fury upon the Arbiter, be wary when he begins to levitate higher. Quickly move away from the Arbiter, as he is about to drive his mace into the ground and deliver a massive area attack.

After the Arbiter loses a quarter of his health, he calls upon his undead legions and envelops himself in a protective barrier. When in this state, he is impervious to any attack and will not engage in combat. Use this time to focus on dispatching the undead soldiers that the Arbiter has called forth. Once his horde has been laid to waste, the Arbiter leaves the safety of his barrier and resumes his assault. Continue to evade his blows and counter with swift attacks.

Once the Arbiter's health has fallen to half its capacity, he returns to the safety of his barrier and calls forth more soldiers from beyond the grave. Dispatch these minions and the Arbiter returns to the fray once again.

When the Arbiter's health has been depleted to one quarter, he calls upon the aid of an Undead General. With a behemoth like this by his side, the Arbiter is not content to sit out the fight from the safety of his barrier. Still impervious to attack, the Arbiter will attempt to bludgeon Death. Keep your distance from the Dead Lord and focus your attacks on the Undead General. Soon the Undead General will fall, as will the Arbiter's defensive shield.

Now it is time to finish this. Weakened and nearing his end, the Arbiter begins to unleash rapid combination attacks. Evade his violent swings and continue to counter with combos. Make effective use of your counter attacks and soon the Arbiter will lock blades with Death.

Death does not stay his blade and slays the Arbiter, reclaiming the Crown of the Dead in the process. Take a moment to relish in your victory over the diabolical labyrinth and it's keeper.

Before exiting through the portal, make your way downstairs and crack open the large chest found in this basement. After claiming the spoils, you can now exit the maze through the portal upstairs.
