Darksiders II Guide › Walkthrough › Court of Bones II: Judicator

The Spine

One Dead Lord has been bent to the Pale Rider’s will, but two of the Dead Court’s wayward servants still remain unsummoned. The next Lord on Death’s list is known as the Judicator and resides within a frightful tomb at the southeast reaches of the Kingdom of the Dead...

The Spine

Only with the aid of the Dead Lord, Phariseer, is Death able to venture into the dreary wastes where the Judicator’s Tomb is found.

South Gate

Summon Phariseer at the circle near gate that separates the Maw from the Spine. Order the Dead Lord to pull the lever to the north so that you may explore beyond this checkpoint unimpeded.

Tip

Blast the Stonebite on the gate’s high window if you haven’t already.

Go south and scale a wall to reach a ledge. Immediately turn around and jump out to grab a floating Boatman Coin. Climb back up the wall afterward, and then scale the next wall ahead to enter a short passage.

Grab the hand hold at the passage’s end and shimmy around a corner to reach a ledge with a chest. Drop from the ledge after claiming your plunder to land near the lever that Phariseer pulled. Go east, and then south, collecting a Soul Arbiter’s Scroll from a nook before stepping outside and entering the Spine.

Gate Goodies

After exiting the gate, turn around to spy a peg and hoop running up the exterior wall. Vault from the peg and Deathgrip the hoop to reach a high hand hold, and then shimmy over to a ledge with a chest. Take aim and blast the nearby Stonebite before dropping back down to the dusty trail below.

Stone of Power 9

Northwest Valley

Dispatch the Skeletal Warriors that roam the Spine’s northwest valley as you advance toward a great stone bridge. The bridge connects to the Spine’s southeast valley, and also leads to the City of the Dead. Though the northwest valley’s north ruin can be entered and explored, it leads to a nefarious maze that you’re not prepared to solve quite yet.

Caution

It’s not worth attempting the Soul Arbiter’s Maze until you’ve found all of the Soul Arbiter’s Scrolls, which provide the secrets to navigating the maze. See the “Side Quests and Areas” chapter for complete details on how to solve this deadly labyrinth.

Though the Soul Arbiter’s Maze is beyond Death’s present skills, approach it anyway, if only to discover the nearby Relic of Etu-Goth that’s tucked away near the edge of the east cliff.

Stone Bridge

Make for the Spine’s southeast valley by crossing the east bridge. Swipe a missing page of the Book of the Dead from the bridge’s east lookout, and then head south to continue your journey toward the Judicator’s Tomb.

Note

The City of the Dead lies to the north, but you can’t enter this great citadel at present.

Southeast Valley

The entrance to the Judicator’s Tomb lies directly south of the bridge. Before entering the dreadful place, search around the valley’s rock clusters to locate a Boatman Coin.

East Tower

Venture east of the Judicator’s Tomb to explore one final ruin. Bear right at the fork in the trail and head uphill. Before scaling the tower’s south wall, find a Relic at the edge of the nearby cliff. Climb the tower’s south wall after claiming this prize, navigating hoops, hand holds, and growth until you reach the top. Then, slide down a post to explore the tower’s interior.

Relic of Renagoth 3

Blast the Stonebite inside the tower and slide down another post to reach a lower tier, where a portal you currently can’t activate is found. Drop through a nearby hole to reach a lookout, and then leap through the window to claim the hovering Boatman Coin. That’s all you can accomplish here for now; head into the Judicator’s Tomb to carry on with your quest.
