Boss Battle: War’s Shade

The Crowfather uses his vile influence to call forth a spectral vision of Death’s wayward brother, War. The shadow of War proves to be a challenging adversary, attacking the Reaper with bursts of unbridled wrath. Remain evasive throughout the battle and quickly counter when openings appear, but don’t get greedy for damage.

War commonly attacks by unleashing a fluid trio of heavy sword strikes. Evade to the left or right to dodge each attack in the sequence, and try to land a few counter-strikes of your own between War's comparatively slow blows.

You can inflict the most damage against War after avoiding his third sword strike. Beware the long line of impact damage that lashes out from this final blow, however.

When War begins to block, immediately Evade and jump to avoid his imminent special ability in which massive yellow swords stab up from the ground all around him.

When you lock swords with War, quickly press the onscreen button to overpower him.

The Crowfather’s trickery ends after War’s shadow falls. Approach the battered old man and press the Action button to seal his fate. Unfortunately, this violent act seals Death’s fate as well...
