This learned Maker can bestow upon Death a handful of side quests in addition to offering him potions and talismans.

Side Quest: “Shaman’s Craft”

  • Location: The Forge Lands (Various Areas)
  • Reward: Grim Talisman
  • Recommended Level: None

Muria offers you this side quest when you first speak with her at Tri-Stone. Accept this quest and you’ll naturally complete its objectives as you explore the Forge Lands. Here’s a rundown of how this lengthy quest is best fulfilled:

  • Speak with Karn outside of the Cauldron to advance the quest.
  • Kill the Stalker inside the Cauldron as part of the primary walkthrough. You’ll obtain the Stalker’s Bone.
  • Speak with Karn as you leave the Cauldron to advance the quest.
  • Kill Stingers as you travel through the Fjord on your way to the Drenchfort. You’ll obtain Mordant Dew.
  • Speak with Karn outside of The Lost Temple to advance the quest.
  • Kill Construct Sentinels as you explore the Lost Temple. You’ll obtain a Carven Stone.
  • Return to Muria and trade in your materials to receive the Grim Talisman—an excellent item that helps Death to quickly build Reaper Energy.

Side Quest: “Spark of Life”

  • Location: The Scar
  • Reward: XP and Gilt
  • Recommended Level: 15-20

After speaking with the angel Nathaniel at Lostlight, bring his scroll to the Chancellor at the Eternal Throne, and then to Muria at Tri-Stone. Both characters will offer you a side quest when you bring them the scroll; Muria’s involves braving a side dungeon called the Scar, which is located just south of the Charred Pass in the Forge Lands. Go there and defeat the evil construct, Ghorn, to complete this quest and earn a significant amount of XP and Gilt.
