The Walking Dead

When you’ve finished bartering with Ostegoth, call upon Despair and ride south through the eventless Craglands and into Leviathan’s Gorge. Beware the Skeletons that guard the Gorge’s bridge—though easily slain, their vicious sword attacks are surprisingly strong.

Before crossing the Gorge’s great stone bridge, search near the edge of the east cliff to discover the first of many lost Relics that Ostegoth has asked Death to acquire. This one happens to be of the most common variety: a Relic of Etu-Goth.

Southern Wastelands

Cross the bridge after pocketing the Relic to reach the south end of Leviathan’s Gorge. Here lies the entrance to the Lair of the Deposed King; an underground tomb that you can opt to explore now or later. See the “Side Quests and Areas” chapter for further details on this optional area.

Underbelly Treasure

A massive door stands to the west, and can be opened if you wish. This would take you off the beaten path, however, and you’ll naturally explore the lands beyond later, so ignore the door for now. Instead, scamper up the nearby wall and grab a hand hold, and then wall-run to the right to reach a wooden post. Slide down and navigate the series of hand holds and posts that follow until you reach solid ground.

Sprint east, and then north, smashing through Skeletons on your way to a ledge. Before Deathgripping across the overhead hoops, look for a distant Shadowbomb pod near some Corruption crystals. Shoot the pod to obliterate the crystals and expose another pod.

Deathgrip across the hoops to reach a hanging post. Perform a 180 leap to reach the ledge with the Shadowbomb pod you just exposed. Collect a bomb, and then toss it at the hanging crystals ahead to banish these obstacles.

Return to the post and Deathgrip across the remaining hoops. Leap from the final post to reach a ledge with two pressure plates and a chest. You can’t solve this pressure plate puzzle at present, so simply plunder the chest before backtracking out of this area.

Reaching the Breach

When you’re ready to move on, climb the Gorge’s south steps and open the giant door to enter an ancient stronghold known as the Breach.
