Matador Blitz: Matador Blitz is a target combo similar to Matador Flash in that it’s a potential three hits that end in one of Vega’s V-Skills. This move is only available when Vega’s claw is holstered (or broken). It starts from standing
, which cancels into his standing
, which can then be canceled into Matador Turn/Matador Turn Attack. Additionally, the standing
portion is special-cancelable (whereas Reverse Claw isn’t), so you can use it in certain combos (like one of the variations of Combo 3).
Note that standing
misses crouchers, so the second part of this target combo will whiff if your opponent is crouching (even on hit, since standing
doesn’t force a standing state). The whole target combo is best used if you’re connecting with a clean jump-in
or
attack against a standing adversary (such as jumping in on Ryu’s Hadoken recovery). Matador Turn Attack also builds some V-Gauge, giving you earlier access to your Bloody Kiss V-Trigger.
